I had a friend who said her dad wanted to name her Danielle and call her "Danni" for short and she said she's glad her parents didn't name her that because she would hate to be called "Danni" but yet there was a little girl at her mom's daycare named Danica that she would always call "Danni".

I must live in the boring capitol of the world because the most unusual names I could come up with were George and Everett. I know they're not "unusual" per se, but how often do you see them nowadays?

My own three kids have very common names, and my DD even had a girl in her high school with her same exact name, first middle and last. Talk about confusing.

My DH had a guy in town who had his name, first and last, too. Imagine our surprise when we began getting concerned calls on the day when the other guy's death notice appeared in the paper .

I think that my new little guy named Brantley might be because of the young country singer, Brantley Gilbert...the baby's Dad used to come to my daycare when he was a baby so I've kept in touch over the years..when I heard the name I kind of cringed...LOL! Not a fan of the singer or the name..

My dh's distant cousin (with the same last name) called his son the same first name as my dh and they don't live far away...so far we haven't had any problems with mail., etc. but he is still a teen so who knows if in the future?

My cousin married a girl with my first name and because his last name is the same as my maiden name, this girl now has my original name...LOL!

There is also a woman with the same first name and she married someone with the same last name as my married name ..she lived in the area for awhile and we got each other's mail, Sears was always calling me with HER order, and one time, she actually called me about daycare..when she said her name, I thought she was being a smartass...LOL!

Anyone reading this will immediately know who I am... but that's okay!

My two children have my favorite names of course
Disclaimer: They are NOT named after the places!

              Phoenix & Aspen

My DD: Aspen Monét (Aspen= determined Monét=to be heard)
              The name SO fits!

My DS: Phoenix Xavier (From Act 27:12 = protection from the storm)
You must read the whole passage to understand, but basically the sea was stormy, the seasons were changing and they were searching for a city named Phoenix to winter in because their harbor wasn't safe)

              Fav Girl:
              Avi (av-ee)

              Fav Boy:
              Harper
