My husband hates it, but does like other names like Rook & Frost. Felix was almost Eliot Frost or Malcolm Frost, after the poets..Malcolm after the captain in Firefly. Though Solomon, Ulysses, Atticus, & Jerusalem were in there too. Salem Frost sounds like a comic book anti-hero. You should see my nameberry lists. I tend to not like the mix & match names, like pick a prefix, add a last name/suffix, & bam-name..i.e. McKenna, Rylan, etc..or the Aiden, Brayden, Jayden names.
i also love the name Gwen!!

          Some different/quirky ones I've had:

          Girls:
Matilda (I actually Like this one)
Macaulay (I loved this DCG so the name I like! )
Odette (DD of a good friend of mine)
          Nova Lee
          Nevaeh
          Frejya
          Winslow
          Ezre

          Boys:
          J'sun (aka Jason)
          Rogue & Ranger (sib set)
          Hunter & Fisher (Twins)
          Axel
          Wilder
          R.G. (Just initials)
          Tiberius

I feel weird but I don't really have any favorite baby names :: We struggled on a name for DD because all the ones DH liked were names of DCKs I loathed from the past (or their parents!!) :: I do like Milo for a boy, Not sure on girls but I'm starting to like more 'boy' names like Elliot, Dusty, Ryan, Emmerson...

That's my Nonna's name. She was named after her dad, Francesco (he went by Frank). I always thought it sounded prettier than the more popular Fran/Frank names like Francine and Frances. It was probably more common when she was born (1940- just turned 73 yesterday).

Holden will be my first boy's name. I am a big Catcher in the Rye girl. Holden, Jack, and Finn, and all my favorite names for boys and all have been mentioned in this thread.

I won't ask what your worst was, at risk of it being the name of another DCP/their DD or DS, but I would like to hear everyone's favorite names past or present.

                  My favorites are:

Chase, for a girl. Hayden, for a girl. Finley, for a girl.

Guthrie, for a boy. Knox, for a boy.
These are either daycare or children I know/knew that I like:

Kylie (Her middle name was unique, Madsen. It is her mom's maiden name). Her brothers had the same middle name also.
                  Carly
                  Niko (full name is Nicholas)
Julianna (granddaughter). I'm not crazy about others calling her Jules though.
                  Anne (my daughter)
Haylee (I hate the spelling but love the name. I'd spell it Hayley)
Laurel (ahem, stole it for my screen name)

An odd one was Aubrey. I like the name for a girl but this was a boy.

My three adult children are Anthony(Tony), III, Anne Elizabeth, Christopher.

Last year I started watching the Lying Game and really like your name and another character's name in it Sutton.

Haven't had many strange ones. Some faves were
Boys: Chase, Mattox, Parker, Reef, Gatlin, Cylan, Kyree

Girls: I once had a Makenna, McKinnon, Mackinzie, and Kenzie in the same class. There's Neveah, Layla, Katherine (my all time favorite name), Reese (2nd favorite), Macon, and Zaire.

                          >lately I've heard the boy name "cash" that is just wierd

It is actually a very old timey name. I have 2 ancestors (different branches of family) who were named Cash.

If my second ds had been a girl her name would have been Noelle Elizabeth. We ended up with two boys: Aiden Michael and Mason Leonard. We had NO idea that those names were so popular and that every time we went to the park and called for our kids 10 other little boys would turn around... ::

I LOVE Elliot for a girl. I went to college with a girl who wound up naming her daughter Elliette. I love boys names for girls. I love the name Holden, and would consider it for a girl. I also heard Grayson for a girl, but spelled GrEyson. I like that too.

I always thought Jake would be a cute nickname for a girl. It could be short for Jacquelyn, Jacoba, Jacobi, Jakelynn/Jakie-Lynn, or Jakariah (pronounce Jake-arye-ah); it was a joke nickname I had for a guy friend named Jake who used to try to say my name in Spanish but instead of saying "Estrella" he would say it like "Australia". It's pretty much a "Jake" version of Zachariah. It could work as a formal girls name.

I also like Skylar more for a girl (its okay for a boy if his name is Skyler)
