It's pretty much a "Jake" version of Zachariah. It could work as a formal girls name.

I also like Skylar more for a girl (its okay for a boy if his name is Skyler)
I like the idea of Jake for a girl. DCB has girl cousins named Hayden & Channing - and I love those names for girls.

I also like using a mother's maiden name for first names, I have known a :

    Miller (girl)
    Crawford (boy)
    Sutton (girl)
Tennyson (girl) - I'm not too sure about that one. I like it, but seems too long.

My maiden name doesn't really work for that. But I wish it did.

Of course I love my kid's names. Gage is my oldest, he's now an adult and the name has gained popularity but it's not way popular and wasn't when he was a child. Olivia Grace is my oldest daughter, her name wasn't popular either when we choose it but took off and now both her first and middle are usually in the top 10.
I guess we tried harder with the youngest two children, Willow Eve and Xander Kain. So far they are pretty original. Xander was supposed to be Eden Rose until we found out she was a he late in my pregnancy!
A fun fact about my children's, me and the hubby's name is that they are all found in the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. We didn't know this and neither of us has even been a fan. We were asked by several people after our last 2 children if we were fans and had to look it up. Oy!
I also love Isabelle Victoria for a girl.
The most original names I've ever heard were Mara, Taber, Tarkin, Camila and Cash.
I tend to not like boy/girl names that can be shortened but love when girls have names that are usually reserved for boys. I love girly girl names and tough sounding boys names.
I also hate common names but that stems from the fact that my name (first/last and middle) couldn't be any more common and I've had problems because of it. When I went for my first eye appointment I walked in, told them my name and they handed me glasses. I was like, "wow, I thought you guys would have to do an exam!", turns out they do. ::
Once the federal government was going to garnish my paycheck for not paying someone's student loans. I ended up having to PROVE I wasn't her! I was almost arrested for having a warrant one night after running to the store to get milk and leaving my drivers license behind. Apparently there is a girl in my area with the exact same name, same age and the only difference in our birth date is one number. I have a 8 where she has a 6. I don't like her. ::

Cash seems to be a popular one. But I'm afraid it makes me want to ask if he has a sister called Credit.

There is another girl that went to my jr high with my same name and they contacted my mom a couple times about having to replace a laptop that I never returned. I was way out of high school at the time.
Somehow they still had my name in their system.
Still annoied me to this day that they are still picking on me years later!

Mine too. I love any form of that, or Jake.

My favorite girl names have been Niko, Riley, and Delaney. But, I also really liked those girls, so perhaps I liked the name because the kid was so great. I liked the names when I heard them on the phone though.. before ever meeting the child.

I also had a girl named Stormy...but, she was nothing like her name, and it never was right for her.

I have had some boys with unique names, but I love the more traditional names for boys.

If I was having a son, i'd pick Jack, Jake, or Eric.

I had a girl named Tierney, one year. Her sister's name was Kameron.

I dropped them off during the first week of first grade. Kameron's teacher said "I love your names, girls" and Tierney's teacher said "You two have the strangest names, were your parents out of ideas?" I was shocked! Stupid, mean lady.

She spent the whole year picking on Tierney and her name. Kept calling her "Teary" when she cried. "Oh look.. Teary is crying again". (My daughter was in Tierney's class, and told me)

I have a Jack Wyatt(last name), DGD is named Franchesca and you are the only other one I have ever seen spell it with an "h" and another DGD is Charlotte and we call her Charlie.

My son has my favorite boy name - Mitchell and my daughter is - Elizabeth. I just named my youngest DGD Emily McAllister(middle name) and she has three sisters, Whitney, Mackenzie and Franchesca. If my daughter was a boy she would have been Christopher Lyle, another boy favorite.

Some names I don't like because they were names of people mean to me as a child or I didn't like them for some reason or another. Lisa, Sheryl, Gil, Phyllis, Darlene, and Bruce.
                  I see little people.

                    :::: I wouldn't be surprised now days!

My DD is Macy, we really struggled with names but I kept coming back to it. I didn't want something super popular (or a reminder of a someone horrible!) but I didn't want crazy! Although I have one DCP that, even after 9 months with me, always calls her Maisey. I even put a banner up on her bday but no luck ::!

None of my DC kids have ever really had any strange or unique names, they've all been pretty common names and spellings.

I wanted to name mt DD something unique so I named her Isis Celeste which translates to goddess of love (and fertility) from heaven. She ignores the "love" and "heaven" part out sometimes and focuses on the goddess part, she's a handful and very much a Diva ::.

For my DS's name DH and I joked that we'd try something simple and humble in hopes that maybe he'd be more calm compared to his sister and ended up with Alfredo Vicente (Vincent in English) It didn't work ::

For my next baby we've been thinking about baby names with a first name that starts with A and a middle name that starts with a T and this is what I like:

Alessandro Tomasso (Alessander Tomas in English)
                            Abram Tay
                            Alaric Tobiah
                            Alijah Tyrus
Andres (place name starting with T here)

I tend to like odder ones, like Bluebell. yes, I know, it's a cow name. I still love it. My husband hates it, but does like other names like Rook & Frost. Felix was almost Eliot Frost or Malcolm Frost, after the poets..Malcolm after the captain in Firefly. Though Solomon, Ulysses, Atticus, & Jerusalem were in there too. Salem Frost sounds like a comic book anti-hero. You should see my nameberry lists. I tend to not like the mix & match names, like pick a prefix, add a last name/suffix, & bam-name..i.e. McKenna, Rylan, etc..or the Aiden, Brayden, Jayden names.
