2.5 yo dcg was introduced to elf on the shelf earlier this month. The first day he was in the fridge, drinking out of her water bottle. She opened the fridge to get her water bottle and there he was. She came to daycare that day and promptly told me:

"There's a CLOWN in the fridge! He stealin my water!"

      I couldn't stop laughing. ::

Today the 'clown' was opening dcg's Christmas gifts that were already under the tree. She told me he needed a spankin.

A few days ago a dcm gave me a holiday cellaphane bag with 2 large rectangles in it. She said "the mint one is for you and the regular one is for the kids" I thought, like hell I am sharing delicious fudge with my kids I am obsessed with fudge.

Well, the next day I had to take my DD (2yo) to the doctor with croup. I had my ds (4th birthday that day) and dd (5y) with me. I grabbed the bag and promised the kids an awesome treat in the waiting room if they were super good. Well, they were super good and I nearly fed them soap Oops! Poor kids luckily laughed and I bought them a goodie after the appointment but seriously...don't tease me with fudge people, you hand me a small square of anything and I'm going to assume it chocolate. I'm an optimist like that ::

3 yo dcg: "Dcb was playing with that toy, and dcg has it."

Me: "Dcb left it to play with another toy. You worry about you--not the others."

              Dcg: "I don't know how!"

We were at Story time at the library. It's packed for some reason, there are at least double the normal amount of kids and adults there. Dcg4 screams out "My cat keeps pooping in my room!" Everyone laughs! A few Moms can't stop laughing! The funniest part is if Mom had known she said that, she would be absolutely mortified! ::

We had some ice fall overnight and several of my kids with school siblings stayed home. Anyway, the parent that ALWAYS comes knew she would be the ONLY one here (because she ALWAYS is on snow days) text me and said " I have checked with the state patrol and just letting you know it is OK to be on the roads...see you soon! ":: I find it funny because I never close on snow days unless we lose power and this non-working mom is on the defense without me saying a word.

3 yr old DCB (3 in Oct) has no issues going pee in the potty but still wears a Pull-up because he doesn't poop in the toilet yet.

This morning he had been sitting on the potty going pee and was in the middle of pulling his pants up when I entered the bathroom to get a diaper for someone else..... I noticed DCB had pooped in the toilet.

I paused and said excitably "Hey J! You pooped in the potty!!!"

DCB says "You're welcome." and promptly walks out of the bathroom. :: ::

Dcb and I were looking out the window, waiting for his mom, and we heard the train (there are tracks several blocks away from the center, we can hear it, but not see it). This conversation happened:

                        E: The train, the train!
Me: I hear the train too!
E: The train is on fire.
                        Me: It's on fire?!
                        E: It's in the water.
Me: The train is in the water?
                        E: Shhh! The baby's sleeping.

I wiped my hands on my pants and came up with a booger.
                          It wasn't mine.

And I washed my hands and started making my lunch with out missing a beat.

I had a parent arrive at 8:45 today, my cut-off is 8 PM. The door was locked....DCD came to the door, tried to open it, and then took his children back to the car and left::
