I don't accept the e-pay anymore. It takes 4-5 days to hit my account. Even paypal is faster than that

I accept cash, check, and VENMO .

So I removed the parent's email addresses from kidkare. The invoices are for my eyes only.

If we will be forced over in October, will we lose all of our accounting records for 2017? Will we have no way of adding Oct-Jan 1st to print out our end of year reports?

I am concerned about filing taxes next year and wasting a lot of time this year. I also am not seeing the accounting features I need available on any other program.

      I don't WANT a parents app.

We're not supposed to lose them, but I had to redo at least half of my 2016 when I moved over. It's recommended that you save all of those records from MMK by "printing to pdf" before making the switch.

Thank you. I did not know that.

But, I have no intention of making the switch. Ask netflix.

I want them to honor my product until I have completed 2017 year end statements. I purchased year 2017 in good faith, before the KidKare announcement and I want the product I paid for.

I need to continue Oct-Jan1st 2017, then they can fall off the planet as far as I am concerned. I will gladly pay for those extra months.

You will be unable to make food program claims on MMK starting in October. There will be new meal pattern requirements at that point and they aren't updating MMK to meet those.

I don't mean to sound so angry, but I AM angry, and a little scared. I have depended on this program for years and have promoted it LOUDLY all across my region. I don't have time or energy to learn new programs right now with constant QRIS demands. OK, so I am mostly scared.

I need the accounting, child info, meal counts and attendance functions, only. I am willing to pay the full price just to continue those. I am even willing to buy both programs should I reconsider the food program next year.

Right now, I could care less about the menu maker functions. Sure they were fun at first and made it easy to do a rotating menu, but so is Word. I use that function once a year, tops, planning for the year in advance at one sitting.

I don't even use certificates, activity planner, daily reports, resource center or chart maker any more.

I do not use minute menu and never have...but I have started kidkare with my food program for free this month....it is different but no problems so far. Our sponsor says by October all will be expected to switch to kidkare....it appears no paper will be allowed....which will effect many so I am not sure how that will work....another way for state/federal to weed providers out! ALL this talk makes me sad....I really try to come in every day and be positive but all this negativism affecting FCC has to affect the kids in our care with our negative issues becoming so prevalent EVERY DAY!

I understand. You are right. Honestly, if it weren't for the kids making me laugh and my awesome family and clients giving me a reason to keep going, I would probably have to be heavily medicated to complete these goals. ::

After stomping my feet and shouting a bit, I think I am going to buy KK under another email and play around with it until October "fantasy football style".

Does it make you link your license number immediately or can you "play independently". Clearly I can't change it so.... NEXT plan. ::::

I just saw it is now only web based, I take that to mean that I can't work when my internet is out.

I have windstream, my internet is not dependable.

Can you still work without internet?

No, it's entirely web based and you need to "save" before switching functions or basically, loading another page.
Without internet, you wouldn't be able to save the page and it will "error" out. Had that happen this week.

I don't hate kid kare, but I defintely don't like it and don't feel as confident and secure with my menus & counts using this program. It's a pain to review days, attendance and meals. MM was much easier.

I just made the switch and I am only using it for meals so hopefully, it isn't horrible.

                            Is there an app??

No App. They do have a mobile friendly website, that you can save on your home screen.

The free /fp version gives you access to all of these: child info, meal counts (oddly there are 3 reports for this), and attendance functions.

As for the certificates, activity planner, daily reports, resource center or chart maker in are gone in KK, or at least I can not find them in the fp version. (They also do not show on Tom's kk video, either)

The accounting, on the other hand, I do not get what the fuss is all about. I have looked at Kidkare and minute menu videos by Tom and KidKare, tried accounting in MM (when I started) and I just do not get why everyone loves it so much. I have spreadsheets that I created that records all that info, which I feel I have more control over entering data and categories. (including time/ space, which is auto calculated in tax programs) Am I missing something? Is it just the invoice option, that makes it special?
