          They have a suspect!

In what could be a major break in the Boston Marathon case, investigators are on the hunt for a man seen in a department-store surveillance video dropping off a bag at the site of the bombings, a Boston politician said Wednesday.

It has been a crazy night/morning in the Boston/Watertown area. One bomber dead; the second may have been found but the situation is still unfolding. So many innocent lives have already been lost so far. Praying there aren't more before this all ends.

It is crazy! I feel like I am living in a movie!

They have shut down all train service, cab service, businesses, schools. All residents in Boston and surrounding towns have been ordered to shelter in place. Mail service has been suspended.

The second bomber is rumored to be in a house wearing a suicide vest-bomb, saying he will kill all the police just like they killed his brother (apparently texting police).

I can't even believe that the city we love so much is in this sort of danger. It hurts my heart.

I was wondering if anyone was close enough to Boston and are you shut down? I wonder how many day cares are getting phone calls to see if they are open...
I'm seeing pics on my twitter feed from residents in Watertown (I think) and she had snipers in her yard and on her shed roof

Wow what a situation. I'm so glad they've at least got him cornered.

You guys stay safe until this all plays out to a successful resolution.

I am closed this week, as it is school vacation here. I am not sure how many daycares are open...I would imagine most of them are. All businesses in Boston and the surrounding towns are closed, so those centers/child cares would need to be closed, too.

It really is surreal. Looking at my tv right now, and there are soooo many police and FBI agents with their guns drawn, pointing at a house. I just hope they get this scumbag before he blows up another bomb and kills more people. Absolutely frightening!

                    Hug your babies tight!!!!!

The twitter feeds - where he's saying he will kill the polica - are fake twitter accounts. Just sick people, IMO.

But yes, it has been a crazy morning. My cousin works in Watertown and was seeing her office many times on TV when the cops had the house surrounded.

Now they have left the house, surrounded a car, left that scene and they're on their way to find something else. They spoke with the guys' uncle, who was just heartbreaking to watch during his interview. Reports are coming in that the younger suspect (white hate, 19 years old) was a great kid, had many friends, hard worker, greatful to be in the country, etc ... and that he was probably brainwashed by his older brother (the one who is dead now) into doing something like this. Don't know what to believe ...

My anxiety is through the roof watching this though, hah.

I belong to another online group. At least one day care provider in that area said she had a family who was planning to bring the kids despite the warnings to stay inside their homes. Apparently, they changed their minds eventually but to even consider bringing their kids out in all of this......craziness!

Did you guys see the interview with the Aunt in Canada? I only caught a couple of minutes, but apparently they were "set up" . Oh brother.

                              I posted this:
Aunt is on now. Supposedly Dad is back in Chechnya or Kazikstan or something. No mention of where mom is although I think the aunt may have said she was with dad. The aunt is hard to understand and follow. I think she is a little cuckoo as she is ranting about the possibility that her boys might be set up.

                              And this:
It's hard to get a good read on the family that has spoken because there is obviously a language barrier. I'm sure some of it is the emotions of shock, anger, sorrow, etc. But in both the uncle and the aunt's cases it seems like there is something else. Whether they knew what was going on or whether they had a concern about the suspects or the way they were being raised or what I don't know.

on another board that I post on.

It is seriously the craziest day I have ever had. I have lived in MA my whole life, and have never seen this state so quiet and alert. I can't even believe this is happening! My husband's office is shut down, all the colleges and museums are closed, the Red Sox and the Bruins games have been cancelled...just unbelievable. It is on every single channel. My kids are asking a million questions, and my 6 year old just yelled at me to lock all the windows because the bad guy might try to hide here. So sad! I hope they find him, soon.
