I'm in MA, about 50 miles from Boston. I haven't heard anything about N. Korea being involved but at this point, I think it's too early to know exactly what caused the explosions. They have just started to report that they may have been bombs that went off; two dead but they're also saying the report about the bombs is unconfirmed.

Edited to add that they are now calling for people to evacuate the city. Scary!

Yeah, I can understand why N Korea might be one of the first that comes to mind. In this day and age, it could be just about anyone so they'll have a lot of investigating to do.

My husband just told me other larger cities are being put on alert now.

We have friends who were running today. Can't get in touch with them I am about 3 hours from Boston, so a lot of our running friends do the marathon since its so close.

I am about 45 minutes outside of Boston. This whole thing sickens me. I am so sad that such a special Boston tradition is now ruined. I am just disgusted and sad. What a shame. I don't understand what the world is coming to. It frightens me for my children to have to grow up in such an insane world. Gross. Sad.

I am a back up provider to a boy and a girl whose dad was at the marathon. He finished and left 1/2 an hour before this all happened. They are stuck at the hotel right now and can't leave yet. Watching his updates on facebook to see when he will get to leave boston. Prayers for all those injured or killed

I just read an article that stated they have someone in custody who is a Saudi Arabia national......
