    And this:
It's hard to get a good read on the family that has spoken because there is obviously a language barrier. I'm sure some of it is the emotions of shock, anger, sorrow, etc. But in both the uncle and the aunt's cases it seems like there is something else. Whether they knew what was going on or whether they had a concern about the suspects or the way they were being raised or what I don't know.

on another board that I post on.
I agree, especially when they interviewed the uncle this morning. He was definitely trying to distance himself as far as possible from that whole family.

The dad was just on, too, and he's saying it's a set up by the police .

My kids are asking a million questions, and my 6 year old just yelled at me to lock all the windows because the bad guy might try to hide here. So sad! I hope they find him, soon.
Are you in the area where they're doing the house-to-house searches? One of the channels was just saying they are going to every house and searching it top to bottom, whether there's anyone there or not.

I agree with your 6 year old, I'd be locking the doors and windows and hiding under the bed ::.

      You guys stay safe.

Yes, I saw that he was saying that his boys were set up and that the "cowards shot his son to death" referring to the cops. Nice. I hope the US revokes whatever permission he has to travel back and forth to the US. He shouldn't be allowed back in this country.

No...I live in a super small town about 45 minutes outside of Boston. It is a small state, so it just feels very personal and strange. We are more than safe here. I just hate that so many of my friends and family are feeling unsafe in their own homes. It is just awful!

I'm not far from Bunnyslippers and have been out and about on errands today. I don't know if it's just a coincidence but it seems as though police are out in force even around here. I've seen more state and local police out sitting by the side of the road than I've ever seen. I can't imagine what it must be like for those who live within the area directly affected or closer by.

They've all been told to stay in their homes or to "shelter in place." They weren't allowed to go anywhere or do anything. They only just lifted the ban a few minutes ago, even though police aren't finished conducting their perimeter check. They have been going door to door looking for this guy.... Some of these cops have been working 18+ hours. Hope all their hard work pays off.

Yeah, hopefully sooner than later for everyone's sake. I was just saying to my kids, even though they've lifted the "shelter in place" directive, I think I'd still opt for that if we lived closer to that area.

I'm on the other side of the state and I just told my dh that if we were there not only would we be inside- we'd be in the basement.

This is bonkers. I think they have found him. My mom is here, and we are a little freaked out. So sad for my city.

Prayers for all of those affected so they can begin the process of healing. And a huge thank you to the many, many, many law enforcement officers that put their lives on the line to track down this psycho

Just got home from an errand. When we left, there was gunfire heard and they thought they might have found him but there was still no confirmation. So happy to see he's been found. They just said no one else was hurt so that's great news, too.

I've been thinking of one of my dc families all day today. Dcm was running in the marathon and her family was directly across the street from where the first bomb went off. They're all okay but deeply affected by what happened. I'm sure they must be feeling a little better tonight.

Watching this today made me so proud of all of our law enforcement professionals nationwide!
What a dangerous and often thankless job, but I am truly thankful to all of them.
