I wash the kids clothes too after an accident.

It bugs me though because for me to wash clothes means I

have to go down to my basement (away from the kids) for 5 minutes

to throw them in, that is only if the parents have not replaced their

kids extra clothes from the last accident. Otherwise I just put

the extra set of clothes on them and send their wet/messy clothes home

for mom or dad to wash.

I don't know. The parents said they took him to the doctor but I wasn't really clear what came of it. He's also been in therapy. First he said it hurt to go, then changed it to he's scared of the toilet and now he doesn't want to stop playing.

He's punished so harshly at home he's just a child that answers by saying whatever he thinks you want to hear.

He doesn't seem to have a disability, per se but he is very emotionally...difficult....he whines and cries a lot, picks on other kids, picks on the dog, picks his nose and eats it, (serious).

He has periods of time where he is better but he's always been difficult to deal with.

I almost don't want to take him next summer but I have two of his siblings too.

YOU have to change it? Uh uh....you supervise long enough so that you know he wont be "artistic" with it to punish you, then hand him his clean clothes and walk away. No talking to him, just a simple...let's go change. Oh, this might be the time to do something REALLY FUN that he can miss out on....so sad

Licensing doesn't allow us to wash soiled clothing either. I will dump out a solid turd but I don't rinse or wash. I bag it up and send it home. When my own children were in a center, they did the same thing. I would just check the bag when I got home and if it was too bad I would just throw the stuff away.

I hate to say it but unless the 7 year old was willing and able to clean himself up unassisted after each accident, I would have to term him regardless of the reason it was happening.

I wash it here. I can never count on having enough spare clothes. Its not a big deal to me. If the child leaves in a diffrent outfit than they came in then I tell the parents what happened. I try and wash it and switch it back when possible. Most of my spare stuff comes back, I think writting my name all over it disuades them from wanting to use it in the rotation at home. I try to buy very plain even uni-sex stuff. Grey sweets etc.
