Children are little angels, even when they are little devils.
      They are also our future.

Ummmm, maybe I'll start knocking out a few of my teeth. Anybody wanna adopt me as their kid?

I was thrilled to find a shiny new dime under my pillow. The most I ever gave to any of my own kids was $1.00 per tooth and that was because she had to have every single one of her teeth pulled to get them out, except one. She was weird, what can I say, they just would not fall out on their own, no matter how much she tried.

We got a dime too AND the Tooth Fairy would hide it!

I never got anything from the "tooth fairy". My mom never had us believe in Santa or anything like that. I think she maybe herself gave me $1 once or twice.

Wow, do I get something for a baby head butting me & knocking out the rest of my tooth (one that was halfway knocked out by anther child 3 years ago)? Yeah, daycare parents don't understand dental bills can be very high to fix a broken tooth... one that is totally destroyed - Yeah not getting replaced anytime soon due to no insurance

I got to spend my day "off" cleaning.
                  And I'm furious.

This reminded me of when my DS lost his first tooth (25 years ago, but still) - he was showing my FIL his loose tooth and of course it came out in grandpa's hand. My DS totally freaked out "grandpa pulled my tooth" ::. There was a crisp $20 bill under his pillow that night . Set quite the precedent in the family!

Oh I got to do the cleaning, but I also treated myself with a pedicure for my birthday...I wasn't about to spend the whole day re-organizing . BTW, those of you that have a Zoe's Kitchen near you, their Shrimp Kabobs are to die for (my free birthday entree). Only one of my children called me which sort of made the day so so

We didn't do Santa. We did the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny. The Easter Bunny always slept in, then woke up and yelled "SHOOT!" while I was showering for church. I'd come out of the bathroom and find the basket at my bedroom door.

The Tooth Fairy would forget to visit for a few days in a row, and eventually I'd say, "I'm going to go take a quarter from your purse."

Daycare is downstairs. DS (4) gets to go upstairs and play his leap pad upstairs and then I join him once dcks are asleep. Then we read, cuddle etc.

I get upstairs today - and there is dog...sick (not sure which end) EVERYWHERE. My puppy (not quite a year) is laying sadly by the back door. My son is standing on the living room carpet literally surrounded by mess. It smells terrible. I asked him if he noticed anything - my 2, 4 and 6 yo all know how to let the dog in and out if she paws at the back door. He admits it smelled "nasty" but didnt look up from his game to check He is only 4, and the dog not 100% his responsibility...but seriously dude?! So gross. I vomited while cleaning up the biggest pile...so gross. And I am no light weight. I eat lunch between the nastiest booty changes .

This is why I will stay strong and say no when my kids ask, yet again, for a pet.

                                Hope your day got better!
