Had a family sign on in the end of May (around there at least I can't remember exactly) to start in the last week of June or first week of July. Had an older child at another daycare but was pretty sure they wouldn't have an opening until at least august and even then wouldn't plan to switch. Well after putting off the start date here, guess what daycare has an opening in August?! Yup, siblings daycare so the baby won't be coming here after all. I charged a 160/holding fee that I'm keeping which I suppose is good but I definitely learned a lesson here. Never holding a spot for more then 2 weeks without full payment. That 160$ doesn't hold up to the weeks of income I lost by not taking anyone else. *Sigh* back to the interview process...

2.5 yr old getting on my nerrrrrrrrrrrrves today. Being super disruptive and laughing like it's a game until he's removed from things or I just hold him. This child is exhausting.

        No nap

Dcm puts her infant to sleep in a Rock and Play sleeper for naps at home. As a result, she will not sleep here, as I must lay her down for naps in a pack and play. Grrr....

I will try for 90 minutes to get an infant to sleep under those circumstances (parents doing something at home we can't do in care) and then I call for pick up.

I refuse to deal with the fall out of someone's unhealthy decisions. Parents created the issue so parents can fix/deal with it.

DCD who trys to linger at pickup asked me if I was in a bad mood today, after trying to hand me back 6 month old DCBaby joking saying he "wanted to stay here". I smiled at DCBaby and said "You don't want to stay here all night, and Miss A doesn't want to keep you. She has too much to do, you would be bored" DCD translated that to Miss A was being a big old B, and had a rough day. No DCD, I just hate when you hang out here while I push you out the door every single night, and you NEVER get the hint to pick up and leave!

Pretty sure a 10 year old autistic girl with poison ivy is one of Dante's circles of purgatory.

I really need to learn to close my mouth when I empty the little potty into the toilet.

We signed up our kids for our towns arts and crafts morning program for SA kids. Older DD especially seems to hate it.

I keep trying to find out if there's a legit reason for not wanting to go, but it seems it's just boring. Admittedly I didn't think the programming would be spectacular but figured it would be a chance to socialize and get away from daycare. She just keeps saying it's boring and she she doesn't want to go.
