I got bitten yesterday by a 4yo. I know he has autism and he did it in response to the environment being loud but it still makes me mad. It didn’t break the skin but it did leave a mark. I’m beginning to think this child needs to be in special ed not a regular classroom. I can’t give him the one on one he needs. He’s fine when he’s with me by himself or with one or two others but when the classroom gets busy all hell breaks loose. He opens doors and runs out of the classroom or starts throwing things across the room. None of the other children like him and are starting to call him mean names or tell him he’s stupid or bad boy and this only makes things worse. His parents know he has special needs but therapy is expensive and I don’t know what their financial situation is.
Hope I don’t get bitten by anything other than my new kitten today.

Are you a home day care or center?

If home, call American disability act and ask what you can do legally.

What they told me is that I can have the parents hire an assistant to give the child one on one and require the family pay for my service and wages of the assistant. They of course did not want to do this so they pulled their child.

Here the school system evaluates children, then they are given free schooling. Example my sil had her dd evaluated and she started school at 2 years old for her autism, this was done at no cost to sil.

You could call in a referral to the child school to get the ball rolling.

I requested a sleeper, wipes and diapers for the 9 month old. DCM sends a sleeper and onises. I marked off the sleeper and requested wipes and diapers for the next day.

DCM sends a sleeper and onises, then ask what is a sleeper? I explain, the one piece outfit with feet and zipper that he is wearing. Then ask what does she call it? Pajamas.

Yes it is pajamas. But they are called sleepers or sleep n play.

This is the same DCM that brought diapers weekly for months, I had so many that I was stashing them around my house. She continued even after I explained that I had limited space for every child and dcb diapers have over flowed my over flow.

Then one week she brought a full pack and stopped bringing them weekly. Now I have asked twice and keep getting sleepers and onises that I didn't ask for.
