I have that same exact plate same color too! That was before I switched recently. I had a 2 yr old that always sat his cup in the wrong section right in his food and just left it there crooked with mashed potatoes and what not all over the bottom.

I do this too. I match their plate/utensil color to their cubby color so they each know what color they are. The kids love that they each have their own of everything at daycare.

Ikea all the way . And I have the Nuby sippy cups (Walmart -- at least in Canada, but I assume the US has the same) -- which just happen to come in the same colours as the Ikea plates, bowls, cups and cutlery. Each of my own kids and dc kids is colour-coded. They know exactly which cup belongs to which kid, where to sit at the table, etc.

I've also gotten coloured trays for crafts. They know which supplies are theirs by the colour of the tray, and I can let their artwork dry on the tray itself, without having to worry about labeling it with each child's name immediately!

We use all Ikea stuff too. I love it and it helps the kids portion control . The little cups are great for the ones just coming off sippy cups too because they are smaller and easier to hold.

It's super affordable and saves on all that trash that disposables would create.

I have older kids, but I use sectioned plates that I found at Target, and plastic tumbler cups that I got at Dollar Tree - $1 for 5, and I match plates to cups.

I use paper everything. I recycle everything.

The only exception are the littles (12-15 months) that have Tupperware lidded sippy cups for and the spoons/bottles I feed the babies with. Oh, and of course, my serving bowls, plates and cookware....otherwise everything is paper.

Plastic separated plates from Target. We are green....so we use real utensils as well.

I use the sectioned trays that you can get at walmart. They come in red, blue, green, and pink. My kids are young so they still have sippy cups. I find that paper plates are to flimsy.

since I only provide snacks I use either paper plates, napkins or I often reuse apple sauce cups as little snack cups if what I'm serving fits in them. For lunch, kids bring their own. If they need a plate I will usually just grab a paper plate for them. I hate washing 20 different dishes/containers during quiet time!

I use my Corel dishes. They are unbreakable, don't chip and easy clean up in the dishwasher. I used them for 20+ years for my dcks, as well as with my own family, before getting some nice ceramic dinnerware and they still look like brand new!

I use paper. I purchased some plastic right away when I started daycare but enjoy the convience of tossing after each meal. I clean up enough as it is. I did the math on it recently and even with all my kids using 3 plates (2 small and 1 large) each day it costs me something like $18 a year. I'm sure running my dishwasher an extra load each day would cost more than that.

I do use plastic re-usable cups though.

plastic from ikea, the plastic section plates from menards and my cups from tupperware. The tupperware cups are the best, because i can replace the lids as the kids chew them but I also have the cups that have the lids that you put a straw in them for the older kids, even my own kids love them because they are spill proof.

I use the plastic colored plates, cups, bowls, and silverware from IKEA. I don't like throwing away disposable plates. I don't live in an area where recycling is uber easy.
