I was just wondering what everyone uses for their meals and snacks? When I 1st started I used my general dinnerware. Then had some accidents and went to plastic. Now I have been using a lot of disposable dishes, plates, bowls, even the plasticware. I wonder tho how quickly that may add up in cost so wanted to see what everyone else's view on this is.

I use plastic, though never disposable (unless paper/biodegradable)... absolutely terrible for the environment!- Flag

I use plasic plates 4 for $! at walmart
Plastic sippy and straw cups 5 for $1 at dollar tree
plasic bowls 4 for $1 at walmart
snack cups with lids 5 for $1 at dollar tree
take and toss forks and spoons for the littles and the heavy duty plastic for the school age.
I would take the amount of kids you have for the amount of meals you serve and double it to know how many dishes you want to have on hand - unless you do dishes each meal.- Flag

Disposable because I don't have a dishwasher and I already spend about about 2 hours in my kitchen every night between cooking eating and cleaning up. Used to use sectional plates but it added about 16-20 extra dishes to wash every night.Each day is a fresh start

My former center used plastic spoons. Since we didn't have a dishwasher, we would just wash them. The only time we threw them out was if they were really bad or after a sickness through the DC.
Then we were caught ::
We were told that we had to throw the spoons away after each use. We never did unless the state was there.- Flag

I use IKEA kids plates, cups and bowls too! I absolutely LOVE them - as each child has their own color - never a fuss or confusion about who has what plate:-) I love the size - perfect for toddlers/preschoolers.- Flag
