    Disposable Or Basic Dinnerware

I was just wondering what everyone uses for their meals and snacks? When I 1st started I used my general dinnerware. Then had some accidents and went to plastic. Now I have been using a lot of disposable dishes, plates, bowls, even the plasticware. I wonder tho how quickly that may add up in cost so wanted to see what everyone else's view on this is.

Usually I use sectioned plates I got at Walmart. This summer though, I am using paper plates-my mom donated a bunch to the daycare. Free is great!

I buy disposable at Sams Club. With 16 kids, I am not about to do that many dishes! I just claim it as a business expense.

Depends on my mood. Most of the time I use plastic dishes I got at Target for a buck.

I have a few sectioned plates I got at Walmart that are dishwasher safe.

I also occasionally buy frozen dinners or Kid Cuisines for my own kids and keep the trays. They work perfectly!

I use plastic, though never disposable (unless paper/biodegradable)... absolutely terrible for the environment!

I use plasic plates 4 for $! at walmart

Plastic sippy and straw cups 5 for $1 at dollar tree

plasic bowls 4 for $1 at walmart

snack cups with lids 5 for $1 at dollar tree

take and toss forks and spoons for the littles and the heavy duty plastic for the school age.

I would take the amount of kids you have for the amount of meals you serve and double it to know how many dishes you want to have on hand - unless you do dishes each meal.

Disposable because I don't have a dishwasher and I already spend about about 2 hours in my kitchen every night between cooking eating and cleaning up. Used to use sectional plates but it added about 16-20 extra dishes to wash every night.

I use platic plates, bowls and cups that come from the dollar store in 4 packs. They come in a ton of colors over the course of a year so I have 11 different colors of cups.

I bought 12 each of bowls, plates, cups, forks, spoons at IKEA. They were $1.97 for 6 each. Very heavy duty plastic, dishwasher safe.

My former center used plastic spoons. Since we didn't have a dishwasher, we would just wash them. The only time we threw them out was if they were really bad or after a sickness through the DC.

                            Then we were caught ::

We were told that we had to throw the spoons away after each use. We never did unless the state was there.

I use IKEA kids plates, cups and bowls too! I absolutely LOVE them - as each child has their own color - never a fuss or confusion about who has what plate:-) I love the size - perfect for toddlers/preschoolers.
