I definately think you bond more with some kids than others and thats pretty normal. When a kid says they love me I always say it back even if it's a small fib!! Some of those kids have no one in their life that says it to them and I want to make sure at least I'm saying it and they feel safe with me.

I once had a kid tell me they loved me "more than motorcycles"!! thats pretty special ::

Aww, I'm sorry you feel that way. I definitely get frustrated at times with my kids, and I've only had them for about a month, month and a half, but I definitely feel the adoration growing every day. I don't think I love them, yet. But I do care about them.

I work in a center, so I often get a revolving door of kids ...especially at transition times like now....the end of the school year, the holidays, the beginning of the school year.

My kids tell me they love me about 10 times a day. They hug and squish me and leave their little wet kisses on my face (center and kisses don't go togehter, but I can't tell them no) I always tell them I love them back because I do. I might hate some of their behaviors, I might only have them for a couple months, I might dislike their parents, and occasionally I'm glad when they term. But I do bond with them and feel genuine love for each of them, though not all equally and for different reasons.

I'd kill a rock for em (as a parent told me once.)
