For those of you providing in Home care, what temperature do you guys keep your house at? Outdoor temps are currently hovering in the low 60's and I have been keeping the heat turned on 70/71 degrees. The kids seem happy with it but my DH says it needs to be even warmer inside for them. I am naturally hot natured so if it were just me here, I'd have it at 68 inside but I keep it a little warmer for the kids. I also am moving non stop most of the day and lugging around 20-30lb kids so I'm never cold. Some days the 70/71 even feels to hot to me. What do you keep your thermostat set to?

I feel like I'm constantly adjusting my thermostat. When the furnace kicks in this place is so hot but then as the house starts to cool down again, I start to freeze. It doesn't seem like the temp remains constant. I try to keep the temp set around 68-70 for the most part. If it were just me, I'd be multi-layering with slippers on and set it around 62.- Flag

I keep ours at 66-68 when using heat. Warmer temps increase SIDS and upper airway infection risks.- Unless otherwise stated, all my posts are personal opinion and worth what you paid for them.- Flag

Ours stays at 68 and it is 12 degrees outside here. I would be roasting at 72 and keep in mind, kids are moving around, so they tend to stay warmer. I would layer some clothes if certain kids seem colder.- Flag

This is so great to read! My DH really had me thinking I was crazy but I seem to be pretty average based off what you all say you do. Thanks!- Flag

I keep it at 68 when the heat is on, licensing says that inside temps must be between 67 and 80. In the summer I keep it at 74.- Flag

When I was in the hospital, I had the AC set to 70-73 zone. A nurse actually came in and turned the heat on! Said it was too cold for a baby and I "wasn't allowed" to turn the AC that low. In a private room, that only my family was in. I was p!ssed.- Flag
