    Temperature

For those of you providing in Home care, what temperature do you guys keep your house at? Outdoor temps are currently hovering in the low 60's and I have been keeping the heat turned on 70/71 degrees. The kids seem happy with it but my DH says it needs to be even warmer inside for them. I am naturally hot natured so if it were just me here, I'd have it at 68 inside but I keep it a little warmer for the kids. I also am moving non stop most of the day and lugging around 20-30lb kids so I'm never cold. Some days the 70/71 even feels to hot to me. What do you keep your thermostat set to?

I keep mine between 69 and 71. I can't tolerate any hotter than that, and honestly, neither can most of the kids! Before kids, my thermostat never went over 65, and would have been lower if not for my husband whining about being cold! ::

When the heat is on I keep it around 70 because I can't stand being cold. The AC only goes on when it hits the high 80s in the house. It's set around 75.

I feel like I'm constantly adjusting my thermostat. When the furnace kicks in this place is so hot but then as the house starts to cool down again, I start to freeze. It doesn't seem like the temp remains constant. I try to keep the temp set around 68-70 for the most part. If it were just me, I'd be multi-layering with slippers on and set it around 62.

I keep ours at 66-68 when using heat. Warmer temps increase SIDS and upper airway infection risks.

Ours stays at 68 and it is 12 degrees outside here. I would be roasting at 72 and keep in mind, kids are moving around, so they tend to stay warmer. I would layer some clothes if certain kids seem colder.

This is so great to read! My DH really had me thinking I was crazy but I seem to be pretty average based off what you all say you do. Thanks!

I keep it at 68 when the heat is on, licensing says that inside temps must be between 67 and 80. In the summer I keep it at 74.

                          My thermostat stays at 65F

A/C is usually only on when it gets sticky/humid outside.

We keep our AC at 73 and the heat is usually at 68. We are a warmer climate and I love the cold!

When I was in the hospital, I had the AC set to 70-73 zone. A nurse actually came in and turned the heat on! Said it was too cold for a baby and I "wasn't allowed" to turn the AC that low. In a private room, that only my family was in. I was p!ssed.
