    Daycare Women Are Spoiled

I love coming across these types of threads/forums.... :: (it is from 2008 but I think the thought process is still the same today) It is a long but interesting read....

(CH, turn off your search restrictions and you'll be floored at what will come up....! :

"Have you noticed how the women, some of whom are former career women, seem to want "the sun, the moon and the stars" from their business?"

"Mainly because the women running the daycares have unreasonable demands."

"Some want to be paid FOR the holidays they aren't working."

"The ones who WILL work past 6pm (or 4 pm) AND weekends AND maybe a holiday or two are the "dirty" ones."

"Sure most of them dont want to work anything but the "princess" shifts."

But then the kicker...... this same poster says:

"My son is 6 years old and has been in 7 daycares throughout his life"

And proud of it. happyface This Princess worked her tail off for many years, doing the hard work, to earn my sun, moon and stars. Minimum effort results in minimum rewards, always has, always will, forever and ever.

BC, I tried . My computer, on my internet, in my home says I am not the administrator. My DS says she will come tech for me if I will "chicken and dumpling" for him. He also told me to be careful what I ask for. ::

Ahhhh, so glad I don't have parents like this! I'm sure they get frustrated with me or my policies from time to time, but I know none of them think like this!

the OP of that thread seems like an ugly person inside, glad I don't have to deal with her!!

"I have been a grocery checker for the past 15 years and if you've been into a grocery store you know we are open at 6 am and stay open until midnight."

First: In 15 years she has not managed to better her situation? 15 years and she is mad at a childcare provider for her life choices? I see some serious projecting, here.

No way is she continually working 18 hour shifts in a position that is generally filled with low paid, part-time, high school students. It would not be cost effective for a grocery store. No manager like that would keep their job running it like that.

It is not developmentally appropriate for kids to be in daycare 18 hours a day, that is not child care, that is more like foster care. **flame suit zipped**

That was fun to read! I am glad the majority disagreed with the OP! And of course, she/he had to pull the whole "I'm your boss" card:: Never gets old to see them put in their place o that one!

...this is funny. how do you compare a grocery store worker to the person that is setting the foundation for your child for the rest of their life???

the only thing a grocery store worker can do for me is sell me a bottle of vodka at 6am when the bar is closed... jk did I say that out loud?

If that cracked you up, check out the "Is the term breeder offensive?" in the parenting section. :: I have not seen this site before, I will be in tears, soon. Good thing it is yarn and hodge-podge craft day. These kids don't even care that I am here....

The first page was enough reading for me.

Some people have such a hard time putting themself in other people's shoes..."princess shifts"? First of all, many day cares are open LONGER than the standard 8 hour work day...not to mention that the pay is low...

We should all work every day of the year and be available 24/7 just for people who MIGHT need it, apparently. so rude and selfish.

This part was what really showed just how brilliant she is.
"I have been a grocery checker for the past 15 years and if you've been into a grocery store you know we are open at 6 am and stay open until midnight. Work weekends? You bet. Do we work holidays? Guaranteed."

Has SHE been working 6am to midnight for 15 years? Wow, I wish I had her energy.

I wonder what her IQ is?

Not even reading that garbage. Sounds like someone is angry about her own situation.
