And she could offer care from 6am to midnight 7 days a week.
Right? Maybe then she'd understand why providers who manage to offer those hours look "slovenly" and have "dirty" houses. They can't sleep, bathe or clean, they are in survival mode.
Many of us started there and learned our limitations.
- Unless otherwise stated, all my posts are personal opinion and worth what you paid for them.
Good grief! She wanted "affordable" (what does that even mean in this situation?) care for 18+ hours a day and weekends? I highly doubt she was working 18 hours shifts. But she expected the childcare provider to work 24/7? And to be at her beck and call? And be paid next to nothing for it? Ridiculous.

Yes, and we are spoiled princess brats for not providing it to them.
I have people like her sending an inquiry about my preschool a few times a year.
When they hear my days and hours open, which are already listed online, they always inform me, "Well, that just won't work because I have to work!" They're aggressive. They're rude. They're SHOCKED when I tell them that 100% of my enrolled families also WORK and 75% of my enrolled families have two working parents. I either get no reply e-mail or I get stuttering on the other line and they end the conversation pretty quickly.
Everyone providing care doesn't have to be open the days and hours that every parent in the world needs. happyface
This threads hilarious and im only on the second page!
"This year I came up with the idea of working as a waitress until my sons school gets out so that I am home for him and I dont have daycare drama anymore."
Actually, folks--this is a disaster. They've figured us out. We're a bunch of lazy money-grubbers and now the jig is up. We're all going to have to quit, and let the OP run our day cares.
Since "Daycare Women" are spoiled I guess Mike and I are golden. You ladies need to step it on up now!::::::::::::::
Just joking- put the pitchforks and torches down.

My daycare kids wish my husband was with them all day - he's a superstar in their eyes. He gets all the hugs and kisses in the morning. It's a good thing I don't get jealous too easily!
