I've found meeting DCP at the door works. Especially if as they walk in the door you start jumping up and down and whining "DCP! DCK is tattling again!" Or maybe it's just fun to watch DCK's face when I do it. Kind of like a chorus of Hee Haw's "Gloom, Despair, and Agony on Me" does wonders for temper tantrums. Has to be in full Hillbilly voice for best effect. ::::
