It's amazing. They "never seem to" do anything here first. Nudge nudge. Wink wink. They must be too focused on all our activity to attempt. I ask parents to share when they do it at home so I can be on the look out and snap a pic for the daycare scrapbook.
Do you share milestones with parents?

Wow I never had a parent not wanna no.they may say aw thats so cool I wish I would of saw it and may ask to video it next time so they can see it.I had one years ago who did everything here first was here 6 days a week 10 hours per day so of course he did it here first . The parent would usally pick up and go home put kid to bed so when I would tell them it would make them really happy and the y would let him stay up a little so they can see it too.- Flag

I also share milestones when they happen.
Realistically and logically they are more than likely going to happen here if the child spends a good portion of their awake hours here.
I understand parents feeling sad about that, but it's reality and I am not messing with reality. I am also not really into supporting denial.
To me, NOT telling parents about milestones just creates a sense of what happens at home and what happens at daycare have nothing to do with each other and I do NOT support that concept/idea at all. It just makes dealing with issues (from those same milestones) later more difficult and I don't want to make that any more complicated than it already can be in some instances.
So yes, I share milestones.- Flag
