I have a special needs DCB that I've worked with for well over a year. Under the guidance of ECI, I have taught him to crawl, walk, run, and even jump. He was non-verbal but is starting to talk, mostly one word, but he makes his needs known. He has a neurological rage disorder that I haven't been able to solve. I planned to try to hang in there until he turns 3 in a few months and goes off to PPCD. Now, his therapist says that I'be done such a good job that unless something else happens, he won't qualify and can stay here another year, "since you are really good with speech issues." Nooooooooo!!! There is a slight chance of a hearing issue that might qualify him, but even in my frustration with his rages, I can't bring myself to wish for that. I've trapped myself.
