I always get out our Potatoe Heads the last hour and my kids LOVE them and the time goes by so fast!! Also towards the end of the day the kids LOVE helping me clean toys. I give them wet ones and they clean like mad...haha. I will dump out the legos and they will clean every one. They love helping, even though I go back over them later with clorox.
We have a kick potato head collection but the ones under three aren't so great at it.

What do you think are the most desirable pieces? I think it's the little spuds.

the kids LOVE the Darth Vader one and they don't even know what that is. I have one little dude ADDICTED to Buzz Lightyear so I HAVE to find him some Buzz Spud if it exists.

I go online and find lots, I just bought a lot of 300!! My dck's will sit for an hour or longer playing with these. I usually save them to get out before pick up, this way we have the rooms all cleaned up and then when last parent picks up, I turn lights off and I am done for the day!!

My girls love dolls too, I bought mostly 16in dolls and we have lots of preemie clothes and they will sit for a long time playing with the dolls!! I also bought preemie diapers and they love to pretend the dolls have pooped!! haha.

That's how I buy my collections but I weed out a lot of it and just keep the main pieces. Do your kids prefer the little spuds?

so glad to hear i'm not the only one who goes crazy each day,esp that last hour ::

since the other day , i have rearranged again LOL...it has helped ALOT. since i use my whole house as daycare, what i did was change my LR. daycare on one side and living space on the other. i also took down all my daycare stuff like posteers and such. for one it looks so much nicer, looks bigger when i took the stuff off the walls AND i feel like we are seperated now. like i dont live it kwim?

i think the kids have liked it too to be honest. like they arent over stimulated now.

i do from 6a-6p and at 601 i'm DONE LOL

most days I work 10 hours but the days that are 12 seem like forever the last hour of the day is always the longest.

Most days I'm open 18 hours(except Sun). The kids are treated like mine were and are expected to do what we do as a family. Chores, bed, behave, shopping, etc... After awhile you've lost all reason anyway and just wander around mumbling under your breath.

6:30am-12:30pm fly for me. 1pm to 5:30 KILLS me. It always seems like Im looking at the clock.

My last job I worked in a office where one of my coworkers got mono and apparently could only work 4 hrs a day per her doctor. She chose 8am-12. Id pick those hours too lmao.

Nope I only stay open 10 hours therefore parents do not have an opition of 12 hours my hours are 7:30am-5:30pm if the hours dont fit then go find another daycare is what I say.

I'm good until 1, then GREAT until 3 or 3:30 (naptime, baby!) but that span from them waking up until the last one gets picked up between 5 and 6 is just AWFUL. I am trying to come up with things that I can do to keep them usefully occupied--diaper changes, snack...then what? Art stuff/sensory box are my best ideas, but I need some time to start implementing that stuff. Summer was great--we'd get everyone's stuff together and go outside until the last kid got picked up!
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!
