I do this as well. I am always amazed at how full the bag is when I empty my diaper pail every evening.

I guess I need to do this too. I just hate spending extra money. And to answer your question, that sounds like a good deal to me.

I picked up a Diaper Champ from a yard sale after years of simply tossing poopy diapers into my bathroom garbage can. I was so sick of the poop smell in my bathroom and sometimes throughout my house. Not to mention the garbage can retained the smell even when there were no diapers in it. The Diaper Champ has made a HUGE difference. Sometimes I do bag the diaper in a grocery bag before disposing of it in the Diaper Champ, sometimes I do not. Either way, no more poop smell. Wish I had bought one sooner. Worth the price for brand new but I scored mine for $2. happyface P.S. We call it the Diaper Chimp just to be funny!

            I buy these: http://www.dashmedical.com/Product-L...am-Gloves.html
About the same price as pp. They just raised their price for the first time since I've used them - more than a dozen years, at least. Sometimes I'll sell a box or two from a case to another provider, a friend or a daycare parent.
You have to buy a case, but then they last forever. There is almost always a $5 coupon too. I order one day and receive them a couple of days later.

My hands must be too small - I can't wrap a diaper in my glove :: But I do use them for anything messy or yucky since I got used to using them And when I have an empty box, I use it to stuff bags in for dirty diapers.

2 out of 4 of my kids in diapers use cloth so their diapers go in wet bags and go home with their family.

Asking for parents to help donate their plastic garbage bags is a good idea if you are needing a good supply. I have also bought a roll of bathroom sized garbage bags and used them too...plus they are usually scented so that's nice.
This is me exactly. All at once, a single plastic grocery bag, tie it up when finished. The small trash can bags are a good idea too. They're cheap and smell good.

For my own kids, I was able to get a school cook to save bread bags for me. They go through so many each day and she hated the waste.

I wrap the diaper in the glove I used to change the diaper and toss it in the diaper pail. The pail bag gets changed every day and the pail itself gets sprayed with vinegar water w/lavender oil in it every night then air dries. For exceptionally stinky diapers I do the glove thing then a plastic grocery bag before it goes into the pail.

Not cheesy at all Josie. That is the way I do it, not all separate all in one bag.

I also wrap poopie diapers in the glove trick. They go in a odor block trash bag in garbage can with lid and the trash goes out every day at close. But I do hate spending the money on trash bags.

I use plastic grocery store bags for my bathroom small trash that has pee pee pull ups in it. That also gets tied and tossed every day at close.

I use the most plastic grocery bags for sending home soiled clothes.

When I need more bags, I just bag liberally at the grocery store or take extra. I would never ask people to brunch me bags. JMO.

I bought a little stainless steel trash can with a lid and I keep it on my back porch. I chuck the diapers in that ans at the end of the day, I put them in one plastic bag and off to the trash. Too much plastic the other way. The trash can has a foot opener so no hands!

I buy scented diaper bags from the dollar tree.. If you don't want to purchase bags I would ask the parents of diapered dck to provide one box a month. It would only cost them $1. There are about 25 bags in one box

I wrap a diaper in a plastic grocery bag, twist it, wrap it back over itself and twist it again, then throw it in the trash. But with 4 little ones in diapers I go through A LOT of plastic bags. I only bag the poopy ones but still...I've been asking for donations of plastic grocery bags from dcps; is that cheesy? I just cannot see buying plastic bags to wrap diapers in.
How do you all do it?
I buy the scented bags at the dollar tree! They are only $1.00, can count them on your taxes, and smell lovely! They do keep the smell of the poop down
