That's the only way we can do it here. And we don't have any options for different sponsors. It stinks. But the check doesn't so I stay with it

If they are removing you from their system and all of the new logins they have tried... Pretending that you left the program... Then pretend you are a brand new provider, there's no reason it won't accept you.

So I just heard back from my contact and it was basically, "Hey, good idea, I will look into it. My supervisor is on vacation though so it might be awhile. Thanks for hanging in there."

Do you have Rita, just wondering, that's who I have.
I would ask her to ask another person to see if they know what to do. If not, I would just switch since you only have a few more days to do so.

We have until October 10th (I believe it's the 10th) to either change sponsors or if not, to print off the enrollment reports, have the parents sign them and then mail them in and also mail in the provider income report (I can't remember what it's called) to see what tier you are qualified for. We have to do this every year. In previous years, they sent us the child enrollment forms for parents to sign, but starting this year, we have to print them out ourselves.

I guess I better figure it out then! I just assumed we could switch any time we wanted.

I believe we can only switch during the enrollment period, every October.

Maybe you could suggest that she ask somebody. I know that sponsors want to keep providers, maybe if you threaten to leave, she'll do something. I can't believe she hasn't tried or asked anyone else to see what to do. Of course her supervisor is on vacation...she/he probably doesn't know what to do either so if she's on "vacation" until the enrollment period is over, you're stuck.

Not saying this is what they are doing, but would make sense...maybe.?

I thought of that when I read what you wrote. That would make me even more frustrated! I just contacted another program, hopefully they get back to me. There is no way I can get all the parents to fill out new paperwork in 2 days though.

I could be wrong about the date.
I wonder if you just quit the Kent sponsor and then wait for the other program to contact you. You can sign up any time, but once you do, you're stuck with them until Oct.

I belong to a MI provider group and most of them go through ACD and love them! I thought about switching, but I don't want to have to go through everything again, plus my sponsor always tells me when she's coming.

I would just switch and do it today since your time is limited. Sounds like they are giving you the run around. They are there to support you, which they are not doing.

I just heard back from the other provider group I contacted. I had to let them know by September 5! I'm seriously thinking about quitting the program. It takes up way too much time.

It sounds like its a pain in the butt for you, but if it were going smoothly the way it should then it is worth it!

I didn't realize there were certain times when you can switch, I wonder if that is a state thing?

I asked her to try again with a new username/password, but she can barely turn on her own computer, not to be mean. I have had to walk her through some computer things over the phone! Her response was that she would do a surprise visit with me very soon and look at my computer to try to help. But ... I can pretty much guarantee she won't be able to fix it with her history of computing skills. Nice lady though!
If your sponsor makes a mistake in paying you what they should, you are entitled to be paid. Tell the sponsor that unless you are paid for that week, you will make a complaint to your state agency that oversees sponsors. The sponsor will be forced to pay what they owe you.

Does anyone know how much a sponsor gets paid for serving one child care provider? I was just curious. When I signed up I was going to wait until the following month to start and my sponsor really really encouraged me to start mid-month so she cold get paid for me.
