    Food Program Issues

So I signed up for the food program a few months ago and I just received my second check. I'm a little miffed because they did not reimburse me for one of the weeks.

I will try to make this short. So when I signed up with this particular food program, they had soneone else I their office signing another person up at the exact same time. They hit "sign up" at the same time. It caused a huge issue for me, not the other provider. We both received the same user names and passwords, and I have never been able to do anything via Minute Menu - it all has to be written out. After hours on the phone with them and Minute Menu, no one can figure this out.

I am a computer gal, so this written menu stuff is not for me! One of the weeks this past month I wrote all of the meals and info, but forgot the times the kids were here. This wouldn't have been an issue with Minute Menu.

So ... I really like the person I deal with from the food program, but is it time to call another food program just so I can have the ease of doing it online? I realize it was my mistake, but I'm annoyed because having to write everything out gives me so many more opportunities for mistakes.

I would first call your rep and have her get this mess straightened out so you get paid. Then I would explain that while you like her and this program, it is too much hassle. If she cannot fix things so you get a working username and password, you will need to go to another program.

10 bucks says you are going by the end of the week.

There is no way I'm getting paid for that week. I already called her about it. I'm very frustrated.

I asked her to try again with a new username/password, but she can barely turn on her own computer, not to be mean. I have had to walk her through some computer things over the phone! Her response was that she would do a surprise visit with me very soon and look at my computer to try to help. But ... I can pretty much guarantee she won't be able to fix it with her history of computing skills. Nice lady though!

There are other food programs, I would choose another. If not you will become more frustrated every month

I do all mine online, it would be a giant pain to do it by hand and then mail it in. I have gotten very used to the convenience of my computer!

In that case, yes, I would choose another. Make sure the new one understands that computer use is vital to you. Nice doesn't cover frustration in my book.

Their computer system can't handle two people hitting sign up at the same time? That sounds like a really lame excuse to me. I recommend the Kent Regional 4C food program if you are in their area. They were always very reasonable about everything.

So can they just remove you and add you back to give you a unique sign on??

They tried this several times, giving me new logins and passwords, but it never works. The sign in thing can't be the entire story...

If I were a betting woman (and I do like the occasional $.25 slot machine) I would guess it has to do with a woman who lives 2 towns over and has my exact same name, and runs a daycare. She caused me all kinds of problems when I first opened.

Ok so have they tried to change your name in the system. Maybe use your middle and last name or a first initial and last name etc?

Well they claim that's not the issue, but could be worth insisting upon!

I would have them remove all of your info as in you are leaving the program.

Then put you back in with a new arrangement of your name and if they use a provider ID, add an A to it etc. Assign the "new" provider (you) a new login.

If they are removing you from their system and all of the new logins they have tried... Pretending that you left the program... Then pretend you are a brand new provider, there's no reason it won't accept you.

I just emailed her about this - hopefully it works!

I was going to say the same thing.

I go through Kent Regional 4C as well and haven't had any issues, except that they never told me which new forms to print out so I printed out the wrong forms and had to have parents redo the new forms.

No way on God's green Earth would I do the FP if I had to write it out. If they can't fix it I would go to another program.
