I have a sixth-sense about detecting illnesses. DD told me before school this morning that her "mouth kind of hurts." 98.1 in one ear. 99.2 in the other. No rash and "felt fine." Ran into the walk-in clinic on the way to school. Strep AND Hand, Foot, and Mouth!!!! You're welcome, teachers...."Blisters" stayed home.

I can take 8 kids ages 1.5 to 8 yrs to the grocery store and get compliments on how polite and well behaved they are. I can take the same group on a two mile walk, while the parents tell me the kids won't walk a block without a stroller.

Yes! Although I only have 3... but the 2 yo dcg's mom actually specifically asked me if I would attempt a trip to Wal Mart to see if she behaves the same for me as she does for mom (taking off shoes and throwing them, hiding, screaming to push the cart or sit in the basket, etc.). ::

I took the 10 mo, 2 yo, and 3 yo and they were awesome little angels. We were actually there for almost 2 hours (because I can't go without looking at absolutely.every.single.item.there... and they never once acted up.

:: whoops I missed that part of the conversation... that would definitely be interesting to cram that into BINGO and not have the kids look at you like  ::

I can bring a story book to life, so much so that even the infants are engrossed.

I have "the look" down to a science.

I can manage to look like HOT HOT mess every single day and still have 14 little friends that love me at the end of it...

I can sign like a cow being killed and still have 14 friends when it's over.

I can make lots of jokes that nobody understand, but all 14 of my little friends will laugh until their heart is content.

this is a fun thread...love it

I can stop a tantrum dead in its tracks with a couple of choruses of Hee Haw's "Gloom, Despair, & Agony On Me". Off-key hillbilly accent is a must

I can bring book characters to life like I'm a one woman show. And really, I'm starting to wonder why I don't have my own Broadway show by now
                            This is my superpower, too.

I can make amazing parade floats out of boxes, wagons, strollers and skate boards. My babies learn how to wave like a queen during our many parades. Our parades have more glitter and shine than you can imagine.

I have great patience during dc hours. All sorts of crazy can be happening but I always manage to hold it together with a smile in front of the Littles. The minute the last one leaves I may need a few minutes but I am proud each day that I can teach them patience.
