I tried it today and it was perfect! She laid down and stayed on the cot the whole time, and even stayed when she woke up until I picked her up! No "transition", just rolled with it happyface
May I suggest you go straight to the cot with the new 3 year old? 3 is kind of old to be in a crib Imo, and he will already have to deal with the changes that come with new childcare. I'd hate for you to start him in a PNP only to have to transition him to a cot a month later. Can't most 3s manage to climb out of pnps and cribs anyway??
I won't be getting the 3 year old, but another 18 month old. The mom of the 3 year old (very small and more like my just-turned-two year old DD) told me he never has tried to climb out and its what he's used to. But no worries now anyways! Thanks for all the advice, ladies
