Nothing like an image planted into your head from your dcp's in regards to their sex life.
If that isn't cause to generate the day care provider stare! ::.......

Me: Please don't bring dcb in an over night diaper/pull up

Dcm: Oh that'll never happen. We don't buy that kind.

Yeah, that was me. I was going to read all these and then post that little charming tidbit. LOL

Funny thing is, I took the newborn, and had her for 12 years! She's now ready to turn 15, and still meets up with us every now and then if I text her we're going to the park or library or something.

I hear similar to this a lot. Like the Friday before Labor Day or something, a mom will say, "Bob and I both have Monday off, so Junior won't be here." I just look at them and say "I'm closed. It's a holiday." --- which was posted on my door in JANUARY!!

I have the 27th of this month off. I reminded parents a couple of weeks ago and one parent just stared at my calendar (I have one hanging by the door) and said "oh". I gave a list of my closings in January!!!

But, all of my other parents surprisingly said they had it on their calendars...there's always one.. I wouldn't be surprised if they showed up that morning either.

They're teething . That excuse is sometimes so lame, especially from parents who have older children and they are very familiar with true teething vs. the baby being ill. Ugh

I had a mom tell me once at drop off that she was ovulating (her and dcd were trying for a third...)

That's up there with the parent who told their dcp what the husbands sperm count was.

It's not exactly dumb, but here goes:
Had a family term me a while back, though they say I termed them. Either way it needed to happen for a long, long time
Anyway, looked at their facebook page and saw a date that DCM and kids were both sick and she posted repeatedly about how awful it was and the evils of daycare exposing her darlings to such stuff.
Yeah, looked at my attendance chart. DCK isn't marked sick :confused:
Looked at my food program and I claimed DCK :confused:
Looked at my sign-in and DCK is signed in
                      Grrrr

Oh, and over the next couple of weeks, all except one of my other dcks was out sick.

                        dumbest things parents say

I'm glad you put bug and sun spray on them............but it just makes them soooo hot. It was 97 degrees and the kids were complaining about the mosquitos that's when I sprayed them down.

"Don't worry about the diarrhea, it's just from teething. " (after 2 weeks of coming, being sent home for 24 hours, coming back, being sent home again, infecting all the others...yes I termed). The kid was pooping water and needed clothing changes and baths every other day at daycare, and other kids were sick. Teething? ??? It took over a month to get that virus out of my daycare.

                          Some people are idiots.

I have a dcb who is on a gluten free diet. When he was around 1, (didn't talk yet) dcm dropped off and told me how hungry dcb was the night before. She told me that dcb was looking at a can of beans because he really wanted to eat protein.

I don't get it..Beans are an excellent source of protein.

They are, but dcb couldn't talk and she said that he was looking at the beans because he wanted protein. She didn't say he wanted the beans, but wanted protein. How does a baby know he wants protein or that beans even have protein in them...
