Ohhhhhh! When a moderator edits someone else's post, does that mean a forum rule of some sort is being broken?

nope, not at all.
Sometimes I edit posts because the poster/writer will not use spaces and it's hard to read for others and sometimes posters (mostly unregistered posters) include info that isn't allowed......like when someone bashes a daycare, they use the name and address of the provider and stuff like that.
Sometimes I will add a photo (when someone just added a link) and sometimes I will edit spelling if it's really hard to make out.
So no....editing by a mod is rarely due to bad behavior.
