I offer weekly rates to families on a 3,4 or 5 day attendance scale.

Part timers are still welcome. 4 out of my 10 families are part time.

Weekly rates work for part time too.

I think I kind of do this?
If they come for 3 days it's X amount, 4 days it's X amount, 5 it's X amount or do you charge the same for 3, 4 or 5 days?

Here it's X amount for 2 days, X amount for 3 days and so on, and they have to come the same days each week. So basically I charge more per day for p/t than if you were to break down the full time weekly rate. Is that sort of what you're talking about?

          yep.

          3 days = $x rate
          3 varying days = $xx rate
          4 days = $xxx rate
          5 days = $xxxx rate

Each rate is then slightly adjusted according to pick up times. So technically two families using 4 days a week could have a different rate if one family picks up earlier than the other.

I cannot say enough that weekly rates, based on pick up time is the BEST move I ever made.

I see! I have thought about doing rates based on pick up times, but here, I honestly don't think it would make a difference.

I started this because of your advice on another post and I love it! So I am thanking you now!

It's just not even worth it for a couple of hours.

I would say ok but it is hourly drop in rate and that rate is higher. Then She has to reserve and pay for when she reserves the time in advance AND I will fill it with others. She may not reserve it more than 1 week in advance to allow me to fill it with others that will be more money.

AND they hourly rate would be almost as high as the full day rate.... but no matter what they would not come during nap time or even 2 hours before because we all know they will be sleeping late.
                    It:: will wait

My half day rate is 80% of my full day rate. What's the chance that I will find someone for the other half day?

It also has set hours. I can't have overlap.
So there's an a.m. half day from x:00 to xx:00 and an afternoon half day from xx:30 (to prevent overlap if I DO find another half day dcf) to Xo. A half hour between the two half days. If you need part of one and part of the other (even 15 minutes or 5 minutes), then you pay full day.

Most people just choose full day
