    No jewelry
    No gum
No toys of any kind from home
No excessive hair acessories. I don't mind a pony tail etc IF it gets left alone. But I don't allow clips, hairpins etc.

Sad to say, I have to have a policy about clothing. The only jewelry I allow is stud earrings with screw on backs.

And here I thought you guys would say I was overreacting! LOL. I feel the same way. Oh, and those Itty bitty barrettes!!! Just curious though.....I realize it is a big liability, but have you ever heard of a child being chokes by or choking on a necklace?

I dont allow any form of jelwery, no hair accessories (like clips) and I check pockets of the kids every morning.

about 8 years ago I had a DCG poop out a nickel and she was only 14 months old. Luckily the parents discovered it happened at their home. Guess she got into big sisters piggy the bank.

                  TOO much liability.

NOT something appropriate for daycare anyways.

                  I don't either.

Yes I have seen kids grabbed by another child with the necklace. Thankfully it has not happened here but the playground would be a real hazard with a necklace also. I make kids take them off and hand them to mom.

Once I had a 6 month old come in with a hair clip made out of a soda bottle top. Seriously, perfect choking size - and a child old enough to easily grab it.

I don't allow jewelry. I do allow teething necklaces, as long as they are short and fit like a choker. I have only had one child wear one before. As long as there isn't too much slack where it could get caught, I didn't mind.

I allow teething necklaces. I know first hand how awesome they are. My toddler is currently cutting 4 teeth without any signs of teething...amazing! Also, the brand my children and my daycare children have worn are made to break under pressure and have knots between each bead so they don't go flying if it breaks.

Yep. My 5-mos.-old has worn one for months.

Other necklaces? No. I once had a child's necklace get caught on the steering wheel of our pretend bus and he kept turning it and turning it until he was scream crying because he couldn't get loose (all within 15 seconds). I had to CUT it off him.

Yes, they do! It's the ONLY kind of earrings I allowed my DD to wear because I was freaked out about choking and such....

They sell them everywhere. I think we bought most of ours from Claire's in the mall.
