    Cleaning!

How do you clean a really nasty toilet? We just purchased a new home and are in the process of moving in. The toilet is very stained! Is there anyway to clean it? I don't want to have to go out a buy a new one. I have already try bleach, Clorox and CLR. They helped a little but not much.

Toss in a denture tablet. Leave 20 minutes or so. Flush

I use some commercial stuff called "ring b gone". You remove water from the bowl.... Spread it on the stained areas with paper towel (be very sure you wear gloves). And let it sit for five minutes. Then go in with a scrub pad and scrub the areas in a circular motion. Then flush. Absolutely no stain had a chance with that stuff.

I use Iron Out spray, it works instantly on rust stains too and smells good (in powder form is a bit stinky) ...if you use it in the tub don't spray the faucet

Pumice stone. We inherited a horribly stained dark brown toilet bowl in the foreclosed house we bought. A pumice stone and yellow gloves was all I needed to get it completely white again.

Can you buy it in the store or only order it online? The reviews on this product are really good!

I will look into this one too. Do they sell it in stores?

You can buy it at commercial cleaning stores. I get mine from a friend who orders it online for her commercial cleaning business. It has good reviews because it WORKS LOL

I order this online tonight. I don't feel like calling around trying to find it. Would be easier to just order it. What about all purpose cleaners? Especially ones to clean walls!!
We have a LOT of cleaning to do before I can move the daycare here!

Exactly what I was going to recommend. I used to clean repossessed homes, and that worked best for me. You may want to throw a few alka-seltzer tablets in there first.

Dow Bathroom cleaner, "Scrubbing Bubbles" is a great all purpose cleaner for walls and such and is a disinfectant too.

As far as a good toilet cleaner that can only be used on porcelain or rust on clothingand is found in the grocery store. It is called "Whink". Brown plastic bottle about 5 inches high but use gloves and do not get on anything else or t'will eat the finish right off.
                            I see little people.

You didn't use the cleaner with the pumice stone did you? I would think it would soften it and make it less effective. Perhaps try a different brand of stone. This worked when nothing else did and I thought I would have to buy a new toilet.
