Sounds just like my son and he is now six! He had constant attention for 2 years while we lived at my parents. When I needed a break he played with my mom or dad or adult brother... He didn't have any interest in TV til he was pushing 3.
Now he still doesn't really know how to play by himself. I was getting so frustrated over this summer because he was always bored and didn't want to play with anything to the poky I finally let him loose in his room to discover games and toys I had put up in his closet. He had 3 whole days of playing by himself. Granted some of the things he needed help with to put together.... He is so much happier in a structured environment where he is semi entertained even if it is learning (he loves to learn) I just couldn't do it all day with him.
Maybe some learning/structure would help?
