On forms and contracts? I am redoing my contract to issue to my current families. This is the first time I have ever reissued my full contract in almost 9 years. There are a lot of bolded and underlined points and I'm wondering if anyone else does this? I started thinking that perhaps it was a bit too much or passive aggressive? Thoughts?
Do you BOLD and underline? :)

I don't think it's too over the top, but I do it as well!
Bolded and underlined parts in my contract are things that are ABSOLUTELY essential. Almost each one of my topics has a sentence bolded.- Flag

I do the bold more- bold AND underline only a couple time. I also have a 1 page "Handbook Policy Overview" where I briefly outline the most important/ most likely to be "unnoticed" policies- Flag

Over the years with different jobs I have had that required parent communication I came to the conclusion that people are just not readers! Not that they can't they just don 't.
They may not read it, may skim it or read it and not make a mental note of it.
I would not hesitate to bold and underline. I find it helps. I don't think it's PA, but who cares if it is!- Flag

Personally I feel like if I did that it would make some points of my policy/contract look less important. They are all important parts-- Flag

I used to not. Now I DO underline/bold in my long parent handbook and I will also, on occasion, highlight the things with an actual highlighter.- Flag

I was just thinking about doing a "policy overview" page. I think that's a great idea.- Flag

I do not use it much throughout my contract but have bolded a few words here and there. I also use red text for any talk of money. Like it would say "fee for late pick up will be $1 per minute" or "return checks will incur a fee of $30" The "$1 per minute" and the "fee of $30" would be in red.- Flag
