Reorganizing....

well for one thing, it's only August

For another, I don't know what it is, but I have been seeing a LOT of people talking about doing major purges/decluttering/rearranging right now. It's like a "thing" or something.

:: I call mine nesting. My house has been totally revamped, including daycare rooms. It's fantastic and I'm still not done. It's just getting more intense as I am in the last 4 (give or take) weeks of my pregnancy. Weeeeeee. I love reorganization!!!!!

So far, in my Great Clutter Purge of 2013, I've cleaned out both bathrooms (both have a closet and a sink cabinet), most of the kitchen, the art supplies, and DD's room. I got one paper grocery bag of stuff to donate out of the kitchen (that was ONE cupboard and two drawers!), two from each bathroom along with multiple plastic grocery bags of trash, TWO KITCHEN TRASH BAGS of TOYS from DD's room (that SHE picked out! Earned herself $50 : along with more trash than I want to think about (I think the final count was 5 plastic grocery bags), and a ton of the dried up/ruined art stuff, and oh, the papers.....

Same here! Today I got the over whelming desire to rearrange my living room. I can't wait to pick-up so I can get moving!

I have GOT to do something about our office/nap room/daycare storage room. I don' have any infants right now that nap in there, but I have a young toddler who will still need to be in a pack and play starting in a couple weeks, so I have to work on cleaning it out an organizing. Right now in there, I have one of those white "closets" that you can buy as my daycare art storage, but then I also have a huge PILE of stuff next to it, as well as overflow onto our computer desk. Then I have all of our stuff from the themes we've done during summer in piles all over the piano bench and floor and more on the computer desk and chair. And I haven't done any organizing of my daycare paperwork since my initial inspection back in April!

I think I need to buy some tubs and start packing things up (in a very organized manner) to go be store din the basement until I need it.
