I would probably get along with MarinaVenessa and you guys pretty well. I also have a dirty mind and potty mouth. But I don't drink, smoke cigarettes, or do drugs. Haven't done any of that since I was 17 years old. Even though I would be scared to death at the time, I wouldn't show it and I'd stand up to anyone (man or woman) that I need to to protect myself and my family from such as when the 3 big men were trying to break into my house. I didn't run and scream like many women would. I thought to myself, "I'm gonna die", but I stood right there face to face to them and told them off enough that they actually apologized for being at my home and left. I describe myself as a white Madea and Queen Latifa mixed together.

There's a lot more that my parents don't know about me. But that gives you an idea of a side of my personality that they are unaware of.

I have 60 weekdays or less of offering childcare before I close my doors (beginning to mid June).

My smeller only works half the time. My hubby is the super smeller and he loves air freshener !

That my ex husband shoot me in the face. I closed daycare for a month to move away. I reopened in a new house. And went on as if nothing ever happened. I even kept two dck's after it.
I have two of my own kids to raise and I need an income to do so. It's been 6 years, my ex hasn't caused me any more issues. He doesn't know where I live and doesn't seem to care to harm me or hurt the way I earn a living for his children. (No he didn't go to jail. Well, at least not for long. And he doesn't pay child support.) Not many people know this abt me. And I only have a small scar on my face so you can't tell.

Wow, that's awful and wonderful at the same time.

I'm sorry you endured something so horrific. But am impressed with your positive attitude and your willingness to continue caring for others. lovethis

                I'm sorry.

I guess I'm not as private a person as I thought I was, LOL! My biggest secret is probably that the daycare areas are the only clean parts of the house - everything else is constantly messy.

I didn't think I was private, but I guess I am. Most dcf's don't know I have an older stepdaughter, and this is my husband's second marriage, but my first. We see my stepdaughter all the time, though.

                      1) I run a guild in an online massively multiplayer game (World of Warcraft). I spend some of my evenings online with friends playing video games, haha

                      2) My family is really religious. Maybe it's evident from the pictures of Jesus and Mary all around, haha. But it never comes up at the daycare since I don't run a religious program

                      3) I have ADHD. It makes running my own daycare difficult at times. I miss being on meds since I'm breastfeeding right now. Poor baby will be cut off at 12m because mama needs to be medicated (and I will be so much more productive with them).

I wish recreational marijuana was legal.

I am a practicing Catholic (most my families are atheist or non practicing/agnostic)

I love my dog more than their kids ...maybe they have guessed that...I REALLY love my dog

I really don't love (or even like) their kid.

                          I judge them...A LOT!

I wish mj was legal too.

If I won the lotto, I would never speak to any of them ever again and would spend my days on a beach reading, traveling, living life with my kids and hubby by my side

I had a parent ask if she could see the upstairs napping area during an interview once. I decided on the spot that her son would sleep downstairs!!

Hmm... I'm pretty open but they don't know that I think they don't know how to parent sometimes. That I haven't been on birth control for 3 months and if I were to get pregnant while doing family home daycare and had 6 kids, I would kick out the oldest child. That I never closed early for my trainings so far because I took them on Saturdays but I may close early for "training" just to get an early day. That I wish I played volleyball in high school and college.

Parents have no clue that I wish to be closed by 7pm... seeing that I have my first kid before 7am, it is a long day, but too many other home providers - yes, even a licensed one near me, has started taking 2nd shifts so I easily work a 14-16 hr day a few days each week (minimum is 12 daily)... no wonder I want 20 days off yearly for vacations & federal holidays. And yes, that cold adult beverage is very welcome at days end. My own kids are grown & I am a widow, so who can complain
