Hell, my own bedroom is used for storage (thank goodness I am a widow)- I have 600 sq ft to work with not inc my bedroom. I think parents would freak if they saw how my only 2 closets were packed

That my family has a history of alcohol abuse, addiction and depression. That the reason I do so much (help teach Sunday school, volunteer at a food pantry, go to school, and volunteer for Boy Scouts and lead Girl Scouts, etc.) is because I worry that if I don't stay busy, I will turn to addiction or depression.

I also wish mj was legal.

I like their kid/s, but I would replace them in a heartbeat if they gave me grief. I don't even care anymore, I'll just term. I don't have it in me to work with too many issues, especially parent ones.

I cannot BELIEVE the way some kids act/speak to their parents and sometimes I think they need a good swat. I don't spank my own kids, and I believe in gentle parenting but I also expect respect. My kids would NEVER.

Every parent comments on how obvious it is that I love my job because I do it so well. I don't really love my job, I'm just good at it.

I don't think dcps could imagine how many times I've muttered under my breath 'if you were MY kids....'

My ideas are so different from theirs about raising kids. But I'm lots older and learned a lot from having 3 of my own. It was definitely a learn as I went process but having seen the results of mistakes I made....yes I'd be a whole lot different parent than what I was and what they are. Just wish I could tell them.

A good swat?? Oh yeh, I saw an instance yesterday where the 8 yo could've used one. Talk about rude and disrespect.

The "Knife Show Me" would shock DCPs who only know "Daycare Me". I have a real problem saying what I think without thinking first. Combine that with my "excessive" sense of humor and it can be really bad. At the last show there's a maker I like to give a bit of grief to. So when he asked "How's it going?" my response was "Great! I watched my first (adult movie) last night- I was soooo much younger then!" Stuff like that. Not because of a joke, but my inability to keep my mouth shut got me banned from one show a few years ago.

I mentally cuss out a DCK at least once a week. Never actually say it, but man does it feel good in my head.

                I love this thread

I live in the bible belt and I am not a christian. I am the worst thing they could imagine, a pagan.

I have a crude sense of humor and a potty mouth.

I'm in a rut and thinking of quitting.

My mother abandoned me when I was 2, after the sudden death of my father, and I was raised by my grandparents.

I am a total nerd who would be a lifelong student if I could do that for a living.

                I am a grammar nazi.

I have a tattoo, got it on my 32nd wedding anniversary.
I am a biker chick. Think it would really shock some of my clients to see me in my biker gear.
I too wish MJ was legal.
Definitely love/like my dogs better than the kiddos.

Hey sister! We stay so buried in the broom closet that it makes it hard to find one another. ::

I have family that works at Westminster go Griffins! I don't know that DH is serious. He's a dabbler by nature. Raised Catholic, very strong faith in a higher power and very interested in how others celebrate or show thanks to their high power(s). My first roommate was LDS and most of my friends and some family they are just waiting for me to come around :: just teasing

DAILY here. With a smile on my face. At least it's a healthy vent and the kid is non the wiser.

                              You sound like a riot!

We are in a BIG liberal area- and dh and I are conservatives.

I'm agnostic, dh is pagan, dd is leaning towards buddhism.

They think I went mostly meat-free for health reasons. I didn't, it was cost-effective. I actually just enrolled a vegetarian family (they're pt) because of my menu, mainly. The mom said "It's so nice to find like minded people, the over consumption of animal protein, especially beef is horrible for the atmosphere."

and then I had a HUGE steak, and a beer for dinner that night. :: I would eat ONLY meat and veggies, in fact, that's pretty much all I do eat.
