Father's Day ideas?! Help

I got wooden boxes from Michaels a little bigger than a cell phone that look like Treasure Chests. The kids painted them with paint & glitter. Then they drew treasure maps to go inside & we put in "treasures" with their meaning:

Blue bead - because you cheer me up when I am blue
Candy - because you are sweet
Sticky Notes - because you stick to your word
Button - because you help hold out family together
Etc

At the bottom of the sheet I left space for them to draw a picture with the caption "A picture of you and me - because I am your treasure and you are mine. Happy Fathers Day! I love you!"

who doesn't need another hat?

I bought plain white ball caps and am having the kids decorate them with fabric paint/crayons, all there own work and everyone can use another hat right?

we did the reeses pieces last year! I felt bad though cause it really was just something I threw together. I have to do something TODAY and I have no clue what!!!

:: I threw it together late last night, and a SUPER quick run to a gas station with some free printables from pinterest. The kids are making tie shaped fathers day cards, and that's the extent of my last minute creativity.

I usually get out of making dad's day gifts since I'm closed through the summer, but I had one little one this week. So I just bought a cheap tile and had her put her hand print on it and I wrote "Happy Father's Day" with her name and year on it with a sharpie. I'm giving it with a plate holder, so it could be displayed. The project cost me 32 cents since I already had the paint, sharpie and plate holder. Quick, easy and cheap - gotta love that.

We did a last minute handprint picture.

We made handprint fish, fingers as seaweed and finger print s as bubbles. I wrote happy father's day across the top and done! ::

I bought a couple class candy/cookie jars from Walmart, and the kids painted with paint on them. Then we baked some cookies to put inside. I also came up with this poem:

I think you're pretty cool, Dad
I think you're pretty neat
So I made this cookie jar for you
And inside, a special treat.
I mixed in a lot of love
and baked it in the heat
I hope you know I love you Dad
And I Hope you're Father's Day is sweet.

And I printed that out on cardstock, and tied it around the rim of the cookie jar with some yarn.

Just painted some wood picture frames from Michaels and they are gluing some cute little saws/hammers/etc. on the frames..but I am thinking of stealing that idea of the mens dress up clothes!

We did cards that said "You are the best DAD hands down!"
Then we did their hand prints upside down. On the front they drew a pic of them and dad.

I ran out of time too!

I folded the construction paper into 'doors' (fold in half, open up and fold into the crease to look like doors). I folded the corners down (like a collar). Inside the 'doors' the card, I pasted a superhero logo (Superman) on the inside and said... "Dad, you are my superhero".

I cut a tie out of the other piece of construction paper and had them decorate it and covered the crease with it so it looks like a shirt (wish I had buttons other than heart shape, but o'well!).

I asked the kids why their dad was special and added their quotes in it.

For a quick craft it turned out super cute

I bought plain white ceramic coffee mugs, cheap ones at Target, had the kids use permanent magic markers and had them draw on them to decorate them,I wrote Happy Father's Day on them after they had decorated them. Then I put the mugs in the oven at 350 for 30 minutes,which baked the magic markers into the mugs so it would not smear or come off. I figured that even if the dad's do not drink coffee, they can also use the mugs for other drinks. They turned out really nice and the kids had a good time coloring on them. It is so easy. I did the same for mother's day, except I bought white dinner plates, put a outlined hand print of their child on the plate and had them color designs on the plate also. The Mom's really loved that.

Oy! I just had 2 unexpected drop ins call needing care tomorrow. Just when I thought I was done with all my Father's Day crafts! Ugh! Now to throw together something for these 2 so they don't feel left out The rest are little so we just did handprint fish but I'm gonna be stealing some ideas from this thread tomorrow!
