Every state is different.
From the day I applied to the day I received my license was less than 30 days.
That was 20 years ago but still my state is pretty quick and really not very complicated.
I've heard a few horror stories about providers in other states waiting upwards to 6 months to a year.- Flag

14 months......center.....ALL delays.caused by city zoning, not licensing. It's a long story......the moral of the story is to never give up.- Flag

From the time I sent in my paperwork to my inspection was 2 months. It was about a month after my inspection before I got my license. In Washington you have 3 months to complete everything before you have to start over. I was licensed just a week or so from that date.- Flag

I sent in my paperwork at the end of January and have my license at the end of April. But every state is different ... here in MI, we send in the paperwork, they send us to an orientation, and once that is completed and we send in MORE paperwork after the orientation, then they send you your license.- Flag

When I opened my daycare in Northern British Columbia, it took 30days or less. Now that I moved down south further it took me 6 months! Diffetent health units have different requirements/wait time. I ended up picking up a part time job while I waited- Flag
