Sorry this may be long;
Back in August I started a new family. Dcb was 1 1/2. He was part time while dad attended school and mom worked full time. Around October dad leaves mom and asks for a divorce, but came back to mom a few days later. December - Early February I do not have dcb since dad is on winter break. Now dcb was to start back up at the end of February. Dcm contacts me to let me know that dcd has left again and this time he has filed for divorce and dcb wil not be returning.
Fast forward to now. Dcm has called me a few times and I have watched dcb as drop in. I also had to write a letter to her attorney stating that dcb had been in my care from August to December part time ( dad claimed he was home full time with dcb).
. anyways dcb was here a couple of weeks ago. Dad has supervised visits wih dcb (dcd has PTSD and apparently is unstable at the moment). He had a visit with him on a Thursday and I had dcb that next day on a Friday.
Yesterday dcm calls me and tells me I need to write another letter because dcd is claiming mom is abusing dcb. That he saw bruises and burns on dcb's hands. Since I had him in care Friday she wants a letter stating there were no bruises or burns.
I did write the letter and in the letter I also mentioned how I am a mandated reporter and must report any suspecion of child abuse ( mom is not abusing her son., dad is trying to son away).
So my question is, should I make a call to licensing and give them a heads up, this is getting ugly and now I'm worried that dcd will try to say I'm a abusing the child next. Dcb is on a drop in basis only and I've only had him about 3-4 times since all this happened in January.
What should I do. My hubby thinks I shouldn't watch him anymore, but I love this little guy and want to help out as much as I can. Any thought?
Btw if dad was to call me I would tell him the truth. I never saw any type of abuse by neither parents. Both seem like loving caring parents to dcb so I'm not taking sides.
Thanks
