Hey! Haven't seen you here in a while..maybe I missed your posts, though.

Can you point me in the direction of those rain suits? I have been online, and they are either expensive, or I'm worried they'll be worthless.

Oh, never mind...didn't read further down.

Unfortunately for me I live in townhouse condominium and we have a tiny space for a "yard". We also have minimum amounts of indoor daycare space so my outdoor space is an extension of my indoor space and we go out on walks and trips to the park frequently to get our energy out and large motor exercise.
The only thing that my area is good for is as an example of what you can do with a small space ::.

PS: The photo is from last year and I have since added a few things like a rack for costumes in the dramatic play area (outside), one large table and new chairs instead of the small yellow table and picnic table and a few other items. Our building is getting a face-lift this week starting today (new paint) so once that is done and I rearrange everything again I'll replace those photos with new ones (I've been pushing it back until we got our house painted so cover up all the marker and crayon marks :.

Here's my space (skip through the slideshow to get to the outdoor pics):

I am on a Canadian daycare forum and they talk about them like we talk about hats and mittens...... ::

That's where I was schooled on what they are too

            They ARE a fantastic idea!

Those splash pants are really neat!

OP - I don't have any pictures right now, because ... well I don' have much of an outdoor play area. We have a "wetlands area" (even though it's never really wet), so that has to be fenced off, and we have to put mulch under the swingset ... can't do any of that because of 1)the ground is frozen and 2)lack of money. Sooo ... my outdoor play area is our deck (which is actually a fairly good size deck), but it ony has one small slide on it right now. I'm heading to a mom2mom sale tomorrow, on the hunt for more outdoor play stuff (cars, climbers, etc).

Good luck - can't wait to see what the remodel looks like

They ARE like hats and mittens. :: Essential if we want to go outside 6 months of the year. We're still wearing hats but not mittens btw. We're moving between heavy spring jackets and winter jackets depending on the weather. On Tuesday it was 8C but it felt like -2C so winter gear it was with splash pants because the mud wasn't frozen.

It's 30F here. NO sunshine or warmer temps in sight.

I took these pictures last night.

I'm sorry ... what was that?!?! I couldn't hear you over the sound of the DCK's splashing in the water table, the pitter patter of their little barefoot feet on the wet concrete and the clinking of the ice in our lemonade while we try to cool off in the shade.

JK!!! I'll be sending warm wishes your way.

                          I am green with envy!

I will be waiting by the mailbox though for that sunshine and warm temps!

I love splash pants! I don't have any anylonger, but when we went to Germany it was cooler than I had packed for. We went to Legoland and the kids wanted to play on the splash pad, so we bought them splash pants and jackets! Wished I would've bought a few extras.

BC-sorry about all the snow. We've had snow, rain, sleet, ice mix-yuck. I'm beginning to think we jinxed ourselves by setting up the camper at a site last fall and not getting to use it before the season ended. It is opening weekend and there is no way we are getting out there. Probably not nex weekend either by the looks of it.

That's what I was thinking too.

I put all the winter boots/coats away and took out the mud boots and spring/summer shoes.

Every year, I am terrified to put the shovels away.... (I think last year, we had one on the back deck the whole summer :

I was watching the weather and saw the forecast for your area....hope everyone was safe on the roads. That sort of mix is deadly and NOT easy to deal with.

Hoping you get to use the camper soon!

I sent the snowpants home on April 1st this year and it snowed on the 2nd. I just pretended it didn't and took them out anyway bundled in a hundred layers each. It's spring, dammit!!!
