I know we have a decor group that has pictures of indoor playareas but is anyone intrested in share pictures of your outdoor play areas. I am looking into a backyard make over with my tax money and needs some diy ideas.
Have you looked on Pinterest? I'm sure you could find some good DIY ideas on there. They may not be specifically for daycare, but I'm sure you could find stuff for kids in general, as well as just ways to makeover and tend to your yard.
For those of you that have them do you change your kids clothes everytime they play outside in the mud. I let the kids do this yesterday and I had a parent make a comment at pick up that girls do not play in the mud because her childs clothes were a bit dirty. It clearly states in my handbook that kids are kids here and to dress their child accordingly. This little girl wore white capri most of the dirt was from the slide and the fact that this child likes to roll down the hill in the yard not from the mud.
I used to have a dcg who was dressed to the hilt every single day. I doubt I ever saw her wear the same outfit twice. I was always so worried about her getting her nice clothes dirty until one day she came in a while pair of shorts.
When she was sitting on the blacktop with sidewalk chalk...I just let her go. Mom never said a word to me but I figured once they got the message that she was going to get dirty they'd change the way they dressed her...never happened.
Now that child is grown and has a little girl of her own and she's even worse about how she dresses her little girl.

I only change kids if they're wet or if they're so dirty I don't want them on my furniture. We definitely get dirty here! When we're playing in mud, the kids are often in rain suits, so their clothes stay clean(ish). But when it warms up, we are head-to-toe dirty every day.
I believe I have pics of my outdoor space as well in the decor group.
Side note: in the spring/summer the kids change almost everyday. We do a lot of water play and sandbox play..I like for the kids to be nice and fresh before they go down for a nap.
Whenever my kids go out for playing they get very dirty. I don't let them sit on my sofa until they have changed. And its better to let them sleep with clean clothes on.
We wear splash pants outside ALOT this time of year. The kids can crawl around and get really dirty but I can strip them at the door and not bring the mud into the house.

I really wish people are here knew about splash pants. But I'd never heard of them until this forum, and I've gotten strange looks for mentioning them. They just aren't a "thing" here.

Never heard of them ... fill me in, because it sounds like something I might want to find.

They're basically rubber pants....rain pants. They're waterproof or water resistant pants that go over regular clothes. They often come in a pair with a rain jacket but they're sold everywhere here this time if year. We are a land of mud.
ETA: If you can order a DC set I would totally do that even if they weren't available for parents in your area. It is amazing to be able to take kids out in literally any conditions and not worry about wet knees, wet bums and mud all over their clothes. My babies can crawl all over the yard even before the grass comes in.
