I would keep the clouds and do all of the woodwork (including the door) in a white semi gloss (prime first of course) so it's easy to clean. It will brighten up the room. The clouds are absolutely awesome. I think it would be so neat to lay there and try to figure out what they all looked liked before I fell asleep...but then I'm a dreamer.

you will be spending a lot of time in this room, so I say paint it a color you could look at every day and still love. Calming colors-

Another idea is to go with an off white and use the color of everything else to pull into the room.

      Have fun~

I guess I should read before I vote and responded.

I say go for an off white, white will show every finger print imaginable, or a nice beige, or very light yellow.

or you could section it off with colors on the bottom and a nice beige on top- pastel or vibrant-

love the clouds but could see where you would want a change. I would get sick of the clouds fast.

I always try to think of what I would like for a very long time to see everyday and be all around me.

Can't wait to see the finished results.

Definitely white! It will brighten the space up and make it feel larger. The only down fall is keeping it clean, but I think it's worth it!

Okay, after much thought (well, overnight, haha) I'm going to go with a light sandy sort of color. Not *quite* white, but light enough to bring more light to the room while still being sorta beachy. And when I go to Ikea for those chairs I'll grab those cute palm fronds to mount on the wall and hopefully help cut echo.

Thank you all SO MUCH for the input The beachy theme just really resonates with me. I'm super tempted to go to Lowes tonight and get paint and paint the room tonight...I'm so excited to get this Big Kid Playroom set up. And my DD is even more excited than I am, I think.
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

I see you've already decided but I thought I'd give you an idea of what it would look like with the green on the lower half. This used to be my youngest ds's nursery. My dh color matched the green to his airplane themed comforter, that's why it's like an olive drab green instead of grassy green. He also glittered the clouds on the wall and hung model airplanes from the ceiling. I guess wanting to surprise me brought out his creative side. (I didn't know the gender of ds.)

I would definitely do whatever color you choose from the paneling down especially if you are painting over it.

Good luck and have fun with your new room!
