I don't drink what they drink. They have little juice boxes and have root beer. (They think its real beer so they don't ask for any : as for candy they know its mine and they can't have any unless i offer.

That is funny because I was drinking some sparkling water one day and a kid said to me "My daddy likes beer, too". I felt that I needed to tell the parents what I was actually drinking just in case.

I don't ever eat what the kiddos eat. I eat what I want. I'll drink my juice water in front of them. I'll drink my Mt. Dew and eat my candy, but it's kind of hidden at my teacher's station out of sight. Sometimes they see me grab a sip or a piece but usually don't pay any attention. If I do eat something and they wonder, I just tell them it's my snack and grown up food for me. Rare occasion I might give them one of my candy hearts or something.

I don't usually eat what they eat because my diet is just way different than theirs. This has been a great way to get them to try new things, though! If I tell them it is just for me they always want to try it.

I have a juicer and was making green juice with celery, kale, cucumbers, lemon, and spinach. They wanted to try it sooo bad, so I acted like it was a big concession I was making to let them try my food, so it seemed even more special. The loved it! This has worked for a few things.

If it is a true treat, I will try to sneak it but they tend to catch me!
