What Would You Do When A DCG Uses Everything As Her Toilet?

DCG, 2yr, 2months old, Has decided that reaching in the back of her pull up and pulling out her poop and wiping it every where, while I am tending to another child is fun. That was monday.

Today she took her pull up off at nap time and used her packnplay as a toilet.

Im so tired of cleaning up after this child. So now what do I do with this gross play pen?

And no, they will not put their daughter in a onesie so that she cant undress herself.

they won't do it does not mean that you cant do it.

I have a 3.5 year old in a onesie. she will use anything she feels like as her toilet so now I put her in one the second she is in my house. I don't even know if the parents are aware of it......

I am not here to pick up poop off the floor or out of other places. If I wanted to do that I would get a dog.....

buy one sleeper in her size (they make them in every size now, even adults) put it on her backwards over her clothes and with the feet part cut off. she wears that until she can control the poo issues. I have had to do this with two kids. you can also try something like this....again, backwards!

backward footie pajamas over her clothes at your house at all times until she forgets about playing in her poop. Cut the feet out if there's an issue with that. The parents have nothing to do with it (I mean with your solution to the problem).

Can the playpen be cleaned at all?

            i just threw up......

seriously, I would be putting that onsie or jammies like others posted about right now...

I was steam cleaning carpets every night for almost 2 weeks and having to re clean toys almost nightly..........

it will cost you much less just to put her in one of those two mentioned...

send the playpen home with the parents since they don't think its a problem. they need to see it, toys whatever pack it up and send it their way.

I wouldn't allow the child to come back without a onsie. I would NOT be accepting that this is MY problem to solve because it isn't. Onsie or you don't come in the door and I would give them a bill for the PnP and throw it out.

I have a DCG that is a poop player and not only were Mom and Dad mortified when she played in her poo on me but they have put her in a onsie every single day for the past 3 months because I asked that they do that "until further notice."

I had this same situation. Mom and dad were mortified and helped in every way. Paid for the ruined pnp and made sure to put onesies on her until I gave the all clear.

I agree with the above post whole heartedly.

                      What she said! ^

How dare they not try to stop this behavior!

I've never had a child do something like that and from what I'm reading here, it looks like it's becoming more common! Yikes! What's wrong with these kids?

                      It's backbone time honey.

The only child I ever had do this was my own ds (sensory related). Reverse footie pj's at home, onesies under clothes when out.

I have a provider friend (legally unlicensed) that had a kid who THROWS POOP. The parents said that since it's hard, it's not difficult to clean up and said the reverse pj's was child abuse. She got a CPS visit!

I would bill them for the ruined PnP, and I would require for sanitary reasons that she be in a onesie or footie pj's.

This, 100% You should not have to fix this on your own or buy anything out fo your own pocket either. The parents should be footing this expense, including the damage that has already been done.

I agree with requiring the parents to put her in a onsie every day. If the parents do not understand the necessity with the poopy pack n play as evidence, they must be delusional. And, I would give them the poopy pack n play along with an invoice charging them for a new one. If they had done a onsie as you requested, they could have saved themselves some money. This child playing in her poop is totally unsanitary and disgusting and the parents should be doing all they can to stop it.

I have a 2 yo dcb who has his hands down the back of his pants all day long. He comes in a onsie every day. I didn't have to ask the parents to do that, they just do it.

I make the parents bring their own play pens for that very reason!
