I tell parents & include in my contract my typical schedule so parents know upfront what to expect. I don't ask permission. If they are not happy with my routine then they will not select me. It sounds like you just had an oral agreement regarding your habving playdates/going places, etc. I wouldn't let a parent dictate my day. Like Nanny said in essence it sounds like they want a Nanny for a group rate. I would have a hard time w/that.
Need Advice Before We Let My Childcare Children Go

their children were placed into a daycare at their parents work, from the time they were old enough. Due to their oldest child going into kindergarten, they could no longer afford that daycare. and their oldest couldn't go.
I started providing for children only about 2 years ago. The little boy i had prior to these new ones, was ok. the mother was understanding and not restrictive. But we had our far share of issues.
on to these boys, i advertised. they responded. All communication was doen through email at first. then we met and they seemed ok. But the father wanted to know what i did that was educational for the kids. I stated that I do one on one things with them, games and outdoor stuff. But that I am NOT a teacher. I don't set aside specific time to do school stuff.
moving on....to now. I am going to be writting up some provisions to my contract.
this is the one that i had....what should i add or change? please be honest......because up until seeing this website and all your wonderful suggestions and how people make their contracts. I wonder if mine is right all together....keep in mind i only have two other children in my care next to mine.
1. There will be a sixty day trial period for both parties.
2. A two week written notice for termination for either party is required. If you choose to not send your child during the two weeks you are still required to pay.
3. Vacation weeks will require a two week written notice for both parties. You will only be required to pay half for that week, if your taking the vacation. This ensures your child’s spot in my home. I will be closed for one week during Christmas, this will follow the school break schedule.
There will be no change in pay for a week with a holiday in it example…memorial day, presidents day, labor day etc. If I take a day off(with notice) or I am unable to work unexpected , you are not responsible to pay for that day.
If you choose to take a day off, within written notice/or unexpected payment will still be expected for that day. This is my choice of job and source of income
4. If your child has a temperature, throwing up, diarrhea, or pink eye, they are not permitted here. You are expected to pay for the day. If this becomes apparent while in my care, I will call you and they are expected to be picked up immediately. I highly recommend you having a back up babysitter so on the rare occasion when me or my children are ill you will be covered. There will be no charge if I cancel for this reason.
5. Payment will be expected on every Friday afternoon, unless other arrangements have been previously made. Child will not be permitted back until payment has been made in full.
6. If your child is picked up late there will be a $5 charge after 15 min per 15 min, unless previous arrangements are made. Example: 15-30 min = $5, 30-45 min = $10, and 45 min-1 hr =$15. I must be notified if you are going to be late.
7. You are required to supply lunch and beverages. I will supply healthy snacks during the week. (Crackers, canned or fresh fruit, granola bars, etc.) *Breakfast should be fed at home or brought with your child each morning!
8. If there are any specific dietary requirements/restrictions please let me know and we will discuss and make arrangements for this.
9. Please bring a sun block to stay at my house, we all share it is just nice if I do not supply all of it. Please send a bag to stay here with a complete change of marked clothes as accidents and messes happen. If your child requires diapers, pull-ups, and wipes they need to be brought with them for the week, I will have a drawer marked specifically for them.
10. Please bring a snuggly or blanket if this help your child during our quiet time.
11. If your child need medication to be administered (prescription or over the counter), I will administer this as directed by written and signed consent by parent or guardian.
12. My hours are Monday-Fri. Earliest drop of is 6:00 and latest pickup is 4:30.
13. I request that you provide a child seat for the car. I do my own transportation to and from the school for my child.
14. My rates are specific to your needs, it will be written at the top of this sheet as quoted to you previously.
I give permission for ********* to seek any and all medical treatment for ____________________________________________ while in her care. This includes permission to administer any medication needed.
