    Hurricane Sandy

Well, schools are closed tomorrow and Tuesday. I'm even inland, in the Susquhanna Valley in Pa. Hope every in the path takes the necessary precautions and stays safe. We got hit pretty good with Tropical Storm Lee last year. With flooding and power outages. Some of our bridges/roads are still not repaired from that.

I am in NJ and schools are closed here Mon & Tues also. All my parents have at least one parent in a local school system and let me know they'll be staying home even if I was open so I got both days off without having to officially close. I just hope we aren't without power for an extended time!!!

      Stay safe east coasters!!!

Upstate NY here....We have an early dismissal today, and haven't heard much about tomorrow yet.

People are still recovering from last year's Irene and Lee.

In OH I don't think schools are closed (not in central anyway) but since the storm intensified overnight, and the pressure dropped even further I'm beginning to be rather nervous. We'll be gettin tropical-storm force winds on already saturated ground, from directions we don't usually get major winds...I have a feeling that this will be very bad.

And I didn't get to the store yesterday. Going this afternoon and finishing all the laundry and dishes in the meantime. If I lose power it will be in a clean house!
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

So sad. I'm open but all the businesses and highways are closed, yet, two kids are on their way - and no, the parents are not going to work!

I'm not that far from ohio and they are calling for 90mphr winds to come. Its so cold outside too. I'm debating wether I'm taking the kids tonite to girl guides because I have to drive the country roads and my van sits up so high that it will be throwing it everywhere. I told my odd that I will be late picking her up (she has dance team tryouts) because its open field. Grr I wish dh took my van and left his home.

Prayers for everyone affected by the storm today!

On the positive side- at least it should be out of the way in time for Halloween!

DCM shows up with the 2 kids and says , oh yeah, I'm just going to do some laundry and fill water jugs..... She says this to me as my washer is in view and running, my line of jugs are on the counter and I'm actively filling them up :: and I say, yep, I'm doing that too, kids don't bother me ::::::

That would have been my response. You have way more patience for parents that can't get anything done with kids around than I do.

Stay smart, and safe everyone. You all are in my thoughts today!

                              Dad is home too.
I expected this family to show. I wasn't surprised in the least, but its sad. I stayed open because I want to get paid, so I can't exactly get mad when someone shows besides its payday and they brought cash, it will be good to have on hand.
