They always seemed to rot withing a couple days...maybe because Aldis has them in plastic bags?
I've noticed this too with the fruit. Fruits like raspberries are just sitting out on a display case without being in a cooler and kept chilled.

I also don't feed the kids the organic foods. I buy meat, dairy, eggs..etc all organic. But, I buy the kids the inexpensive milk from Frys. If I had one that I knew was eating organic food...i'd feed them organic though.

In my fridge, we have fat free organic milk (for me) 2% organic (for husband and daughter) and 2% for daycare, PLUS, almond milk for allergic toddler.

Okay I was just guessing at the prices, but now you've got me all doubting myself! I'm going to the store today, I'll find out what the price really is. LOL

One being on the food program I couldn't use organic milk. I have two children who drink organic at home but have no problem drinking it hear. Those two sometimes really don't like what we eat because its not "natural foods". One of them really has trouble because we don't buy natural peanut butter. We also don't make our own syrups and these families do. So the kids aren't really crazy about when we have syrup.

I personally can't afford to feed 12 kids organic foods. I do try to feed them as healthy as I can and do the best I can.

It's funny how life is....I'll be the one buying natural peanut butter and pure maple syrup and my families won't really care either way. I guess that's life

Just to add to the Aldi's comment......Aldi's also has a line of organic stuff as well. I am sure in time, it is only going to get bigger as more people become aware that it is there. Love it!!!

We separately do a lot of items and it works out well. I don't think it'd be as hard for you as you think. Plus, you don't have to provide DC kids with the same food your son is eating. So, if he's eating eggs one morning you could give them something else. On another day, you could make them scrambled eggs and give him something else.

Out of 12 kids, none have ever asked or wanted organic or natural anything. Even my picky families.

I've seen some organic but I don't remember if it was Aldi brand. Yes, Aldi's rocks and if they add organic, WOW!
They do have a lower calorie line in my store. I'll have to look at the Aldi's I'm near that's in a larger city.

If its good enough for WIC its good enough for me, i just look at what they consider good healthy food. I dont buy organic. I am cheap but still feed them well

I agree. I dropped Sams for Costco bc costco has more organic.

My kids eat foods the dck's dont (won't) eat. So I will make (for example) some avocado and cauliflower for my kids and add it to their plate, and everyone gets the organic PB&J and organic bread (that I bought at Costco), and grapes. I buy the organic yogurt tubes for my kids, and the simply Gogurt all natural tubes (again from costco) for the dck's. No one feels slighted.

The dck's all drink water, as do mine, but I will occasionally give my kids almond or coconut milk as well. The dcks all get healthy all natural foods, but I can't afford to feed them all organic like I try to for my own kids.

And I know some of the parents wouldnt care either way anyway- I have kids show up talking about having chocolate milk and doughnuts or cini minis from burger king for breakfast...
